Wow... I can't believe it. Finally. Gonna be an awesome winter, 14 canada world cup qualifiers against good teams with a young super talented roster. Hopefully ending with me drinking 30 dollar beers in some ridiculous fan zone in qatar. But for now I will take the games

So Canada is Team 1. In September, Canada will host Honduras and then Away to the United States.
Also back to back home games in November against Costa Rica and Mexico. I'm not kidding when I say play in Whitehorse.

I’m glad that garbage goal wasn’t the only one. This feels better.

And El Salvador too in Sept... also at home. 3 games in that window. Gonna be intense but with a full roster hopefully at least 4 points and right into the mix

HUGE night for Canada but they're going to have to really step it up to compete against the likes of the USA and Mexico in competitive matches. They gave away possession cheaply, make a host of terrible, misplaced passes, and despite the three goals, struggled mightily with finishing.
Haiti were an embarrassment tonight. Someone posted in this thread that they were missing some of the players due to visa issues and I really hope that's true because they certainly didn't look like they belonged in this stage of qualifying at all.
Alphonso Davies is obviously the best player on the pitch every time he steps onto it against these Mickey Mouse teams, but Canada will have to do much better to find space when he's double and tripled teamed. I lost count of how many times he was able to dribble past two or three players without looking like he was putting in any effort at all, and he won't be able to do that against the bigger countries.

Add Atiba to this group and in that midfield with Eustaquio and Kaye is stacked
I’d written off Larin years ago but since moving to Turkey he has become a way different player, happy to see him get success for Canada
I thought Herdman’s subs were much better tonight. Bringing Wotherspoon on for Osorio kept the three central midfielders in place which they didn’t do on Saturday and helped them control the midfield all evening
Only thing left is to get out of this pandemic and have a rocking crowd for the home games come September. If some provinces are ahead of others in regards to reopening then hold the matches there.

I don't think Toronto will be ready in September. Edmonton or Montreal.

The 7 home games will also create much needed revenue for the program.
