Sounds like some halftime adjustments to get the offence going — I’m glad they stuck with Maier and it paid off. 5-11 in the first half I believe, 13-15 in the second half.

It was ugly but a win is a win, they will be much better Saturday in Edmonton. Don't want to be the team the Elks beat to end their 13 game home losing streak.

I'm a little surprised how close this game was. Chris Jones knows how to prepare for Dickenson's offense and this was one of those games where he was one step ahead of Dave for a half of football. Offense broke through in the 2nd half but still lots of room for improvement. Defense was merely adequate today as Edmonton's backups had a pretty good day all things considered. Hopefully the team is a little sharper and better prepared next week.

No way there was only 25,000. I think the actual number of 30,500 was pretty accurate. I’ve been going to games my whole life and that looked and felt as being accurate. No chance there were 10,000 empty seats.
On a side note, that was the best jet fly by I’ve ever seen. The second pass with the barrel rolls was amazing!

I've been to games with 32k announced that had less people in the stands than yesterday. There was definitely +30k in attendance. Was great to see a mostly full McMahon for the first time in a few years.

Yeah, I was in the cheap seats and it was 100% full around me. Those 30k people were all there, imo. It felt like a crowd from the mid nineties.
Also - agree that the flyby was awesome. To get the pilots there to wave to the crowd they must land at YYC and drive over? I dont recall seeing that in the past.

Oh, ok. I've missed the last 3-4 LD out of town, but have probably gone to 20 of the last 30 and don't recall that. The flyby this time was definitely more action packed than I recall it being in the past, so its definitely possible I was just paying more attention.

I thought the attendance in Calgary was ####ing awesome. I really hope Edmonton takes the time to put on their nice sweatpants and head to the game this weekend

Glad to hear the crowd was so good, and treated to an entertaining second half and big W after that snoozer first half. Good for the league.
I miss back when it was a given there'd be 30K+ there every week, doesn't even feel that long ago.

Any word on the d-bag hit from Marino getting any additional games off? Or of, heaven forbid, the Riders actually stepping up and doing the right thing and cutting this POS?
Ya, didn't think that last thing would happen ever.

Is there any doubt he'll wind up an Elk?
