Bautista Agut is out. That's a surprise.

Okay, Leylah's on the board. Now let's get that break back.

Oh man, I hope Keys is okay, she did have a mild case of COVID-19 a while ago, but you never like to see the trainers checking her heart rate.

Leylah is definitely playing better here in set 2 and it is coinciding with Keys level dropping a little.
Edit: Leylah gets the break to get back on serve in set 2.

This match looked done and dusted at 3-5 love-40 on Leylah's serve. Now it's 5-5

Captain Obvious says Leylah needs to work on her serve to make it somewhat of a weapon. Ground strokes are fine, her court coverage is great, but that serve is just too easy to exploit.

So, I guess all that's left now is to wait for a Zverev meltdown and for Rafa to win title #14.

at 5 1/2 feet, unfortunately I don't think weaponizing her serve will ever be in the cards, but I would settle for Leylah working on it to the point where it's not an obvious liability.
actually I'd like that for every Canadian player on tour other than Milos.

Yeah, her serve is never going to be anything close to Serena or even Coco Gauff for that matter, but she could try to work on using angles more and that lefty spin could take her opponent way out of position on the ad court.

We also have Sharon Fichman to cheer for in women's doubles.
