The part that drives me crazy is that they focus so much on today's match against Roger and they seem to disregard all the good things that he did in Miami against guys like Tsitsipas and Tiafoe. He returned well against both Tsitsipas and Tiafoe and not so well today, it's a work in progress, but he is making strides to becoming a pretty good returner.

Ah sucks Shapo lost but Fed is the goat and shapo will have learned a lot from that match. Great tournament for him to build on. Amazing what Fed is doing at 37, it was amazing 3 years ago

I felt the same way, they are talking about Shapo like he’s 23-24 but he’s 19! Both him and FAA are still so young, not only is Fed the greatest but he has been on tour before Shapo was born. His mind is 3-4 plays ahead of his just based off experience alone. They also talked down about Shapo last year after he beat Nadal. It’s like they want these next gen guys to be perfect. I thought Dennis has cut down his unforced errors by quite a bit and he’s showing much more maturity when picking his shots. Future is so bright for both him and FAA

We get the international feed most of the time so we know how garbage ESPN is.

That type of composure only comes with experience, we saw that in both games.

lol - Roger takes the opening set 6-1 in 24 minutes - ESPN commentators relatively quiet regarding how poorly Isner is playing.

The old 24-minute 6-1 drubbing, pretty typical Fed first round. This is the final? Oh, okay then.

In John's defense, he's clearly dealing with an injury today (just pulled up in that last game). This match is likely going to be over soon.

Congrats to Roger, 28th Masters 1000 title 6-1 6-4
/Now only eight behind Jimmy Connors as far as singles titles are concerned, 109 for Connors, 101 for Fed.

Isner winning three whole points on Roger's serve lol. Seriously the ATP should have stepped in and disqualified him so we could have gotten Felix instead.

I doubt that would have made much difference, what with Roger being in this form.

I'm so curious to see how Roger is going to do on clay this year. He's got to be one of the top contenders for the French with how good he's started the year.

Rafa, Djoker, Thiem at the very least have the upper hand unless Fed finds a way to translate his quick strike plan to the dirt. I will be more than happy if he just gets through it injury free.

I'm guessing Felix would have won at least four points on Roger's serve. Either way it would have produced far more intrigue than a match we all saw coming.

I wanna see him play the most hyper-aggressive brand of tennis clay has ever seen. No second serve speeds, just first serve and risk the DFs. Absolutely bomb away on return and play tons of drop shots. And set a mental goal that once a rally hits 10 shots, rip a winner or commit a terrible error, just no grindfests.
