Man, if I'm a Cowboys fan, I'm praying for a Super Bowl this year because that team is in trouble next year. They're already projected to be $10M over the cap. They can cut or trade Romo and it'll give them about $5M in cap space, but then they're also eating about $19M in dead money, and after that it gets a little dicey. 3/4 of their starting secondary are scheduled to become UFAs and I don't really see a way for them to re-sign any of them without some crazy contract magic by the FO.
They're also going to have to cut some pretty key contributors and popular players. The obvious one is Witten, but I could see one or both of Doug Free and Sean Lee being moved as well.
If they don't absolutely nail the draft, I think we see a big drop off in play from them. The Eagles aren't in great shape either but the difference is that they have some pretty obvious cut/trade candidates that should free up between $20M - $30M in space and they don't really have any UFAs who need to be re-signed or replaced.

Eagles need to spend big in FA though and are hurting a bit for draft picks aren't they? WR is a trouble area for sure, to bring back DeSean isn't going to be cheap. Oline help couldn't be a bad idea either.

They'd have more if it wasn't for the Wentz trade, but they aren't as bad as they could be.

Nope, they have picks in every round this year, plus an extra pick in the 4th or 5th I think. I honestly don't want them to be spending big in free agency this year because there are just way too many holes to fill. The O-line should be alright once they get Johnson back next year and address some of the depth issues in the draft and FA, but no need to go out and spend big on it.
The big holes are at WR, RB, and CB. Hopefully they can nab a WR like Corey Davis in the draft. I'd be fine with bringing Jackson back, but I don't know that I'd want to be paying him more than the $8M/year he's making right now. RB can probably be addressed in the draft and free agency. Corner is the big concern.

For corner they could do a far sight worse than Jourdan Lewis. He'll be a stud.
I hadn't followed closely enough, I didn't know they had a fair amount of picks back. Still I think they'll have to spend in FA for WR, they need impact and drafting a project late for an impact WR can be tough IMO. They have enough of those guys on the roster already.

I don't really think Davis is a project. He looks legit but we'll see how he does against Wisconsin in the Cotton Bowl. I'm with you on them needing a WR, but I just don't think $9M+ on Desean is a great investment. The guy hasn't been all that productive the last two years except when he's played the Eagles.

Tom Pelissero @TomPelissero
Source: NFL teams were informed today the per-team salary cap for 2017 is projected to be $166 million to $170M. Up from $155.27M this year.
so that's good early news for cap-strapped teams I guess.

For a team that lost Gronk, that is a disgusting amount of offensive weapons

I suspect Floyd is getting suspended soon, so we'll see how long that goes for. Now that he's a Patriot I would imagine 8 games is the minimum.

Cant be suspended until indictment, however, when/if that happens.. expect Goodell to make up some rules that suspends him until he no longer wears patriots colors haha!

I always thought the small fluorescent touches were kind of cool on the Seahawks gear. This is just stupid looking. Ridiculous. Who thought this was a good idea? They look like those jackasses at the Canucks games.
"Action Green" is apparently the official name for the color. That fits.

The Rams must be betting against themselves because they're trying to lose. Dropped pass, wide open guy missed in the end zone, now trying to get delay of game on 4th down.

Seattles Fake punt was awesome but their punter just took a huge shot! Never seen a guy juggle and drop a ball like that though.
Why didn't he just slide down?

How does a punter get a hole straight up the middle that big? There was no Ram within 5 yards of him as he crossed the line of scrimmage!
