Even though the OOT was unfortunate for the flames, there is some good.

Vancouver has been pulled back into the teeth of this race. A regulation win for LA vs Vancouver, coupled with a flames ROW vs Phoenix puts the Flames in 2nd place in the division.

Unfortunately, would also require an Oilers win against the Kings as they play the same time as the Coyotes-Flames game.

Why am I still scared that even 97 pts won't be enough.

Just as long as they don't wait until the last game to decide. Just beat ARI and then LA at home and take the pressure off for Sundays game. Besides a win against LA would have the Dome a rockin.

Meanwhile up in Edmonton the fans there will be drowning thier sorrows on the Blue Mile

Well, even if it's for 5minutes!

Just as important would be passing out the canucks in the standings.

Would also set up LA vs FLAMES Quite nicely

Canucks will be hungry playing against LA Monday. Hopefully that tires the Kings out and Vancouver wins. they then have a game next day against the Oilers. They can't possibly lose 4 in a row.. Hopefully they can help us out.

What a tight race... Will be a huge heart breaker for whichever team doesn't make it. Winnipeg and Calgary are such feel-good stories while LA is the reigning cup champion.

Feels like it will be ridiculously tough for the flames to get at least 2 wins out of the final 3 games with LA playing like they are and the jets being at home for the final game. But this flames team has defied the odds all year. And the "Always earned. Never Given" motto rings true even to the end of the playoff race... The flames won't be able to depend on other teams losing to get them in... The only way they will make it is by earning it right to the final game. GFG!!

The two things all three fan bases of the Canadian teams have in common are an unbridled hatred for each other and a dire want to see LA miss the play-offs.

We're cheering for the Nucks Monday right?

I mean, they are in with their last two games...

It cannot be understated how important it is that Calgary beat Arizona. That's only one hurdle. Then it's a must-win game against LA who have just shredded Edmonton and Colorado.

I think I'll stick with my earlier prediction and say Calgary misses. Please be wrong.

No it's not, it is a good thing there's a day of rest in between. Our nerves need the rest from the stress, but there won't be rest Monday and Tuesday.

The OOT wasn't as bad as it could have been. The good news was that the Wild are also back in the teeth of this race only got 1 point and the Canucks lost in reg time, a 3 point game would have been terrible. No, we aren't cheering for the Canucks to win on Monday, Kings to win in reg time is better. The Coyotes do play the Canucks tough and I think the Coyotes can beat them.

Have to disagree.

While I really hate the Canucks, I'd much rather stay ahead of the Kings than fall behind both of them.

Yeah. It's a mess, really.

A regulation Canucks loss to Kings, and a regulation loss to one of Coyotes/Oilers - and the Flames finish ahead of the Canucks by finishing with 2 ROW in last three games.

Or countless other scenarios, a bit less excellent...

Even in that scenario, it becomes about as likely that the first round opponent shifts from the Canucks to the Kings. Not sure if that would be ideal at all.

It would have been nice if Nashville could of held their lead against the Canucks, but for a little bit of leeway I think I'll be cheering for the Canucks against L.A.
