Three teams have offers in on Josh Gordon. He is one strike away from being suspended for the year but I hope the Colts make an offer on him. With Wayne down, a receiver like Gordon would fit in well.

I think the Browns will be asking for too much so hopefully they get him w/ a good deal or else pass..

Jason Campbell to start for the Browns. Season Savior!
Campbell is now the 20th quarterback to start for the Browns since their return in 1999.

I'd rather they look at a guy like Nicks than Gordon. The price tag for Gordon is going to be higher, and Nicks fits Wayne's role a lot better I think.

.....and Christian Ponder is your likely starter for the Vikings vs Green Bay this weekend. Freeman is concussed.

Hahaha what a clown show the Vikings are. I shouldn't be laughing because the Bucs are in just as bad a shape, but man what a waste of AP. Vikings would be wise to trade him this offseason for a bounty of picks.

Yeah I'd be happy with either one. Sanders from Pittsburgh is the other rumor. I hope they make a deal though. They can potentially make some noise this year.

Must have been from all that smacking himself in the head, walking off the field after all his missed throws.

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if Brett Favre announced he was coming out of retirement again to start at QB for the Vikings. What a gong show!

Some columnist for one of the local papers suggested they trade AP last week and got raked over the coals. But I don't think it's so crazy, because AP as great as he is, has how many more bell cow years left? Others at nfl.com suggested that the Vikings are a QB away from being a playoff team and hence why it wasn't worth what you could probably get, because you wouldn't get a Herschel Walker type return.

The only issue is that unless the player really knows the offence it is tough to come in at this time of the season and have much of an impact for a team. Cleveland was running a bit of a West Coast offence last year so perhaps he'll be alright in Hamilton's system. Wide Receivers in particular really need to know how to play off the QB, read coverage and break off routes. Whereas a running back tends to play more by instinct and hit holes. I think Reggie Wayne's replacement is likely already on the team and will emerge with the opportunity to play. Good QB's tend to allow previously unknown receivers to emerge, and Andrew Luck is plenty good enough to allow that to happen.

I'm hoping that Hilton picks it up, I ended up dropping Wayne and picking up Hilton in my fantasy league.

I picked up Hilton a few weeks ago and he's been okay.
I picked up Bey this week and hoping he steps up his game!

Yeah definitely good points Syl. I just think they need to make a deal though to give them a couple options at reciever. I think Gordon can learn the system in half a regular season.

Hilton is a great pickup. Had around 850 yards in his rookie year last year and should top 1,000 yards this season. Has dynamite speed and until they find a replacement for Reggie, he will be targeted as the #1 option.

You gotta think Fleener sees more targets now too.

Absolutely rubecube. Hilton, Fleener, Heyward-Bey will get more passes. I just think they need to make a deal. Nicks or Gordon fits in perfectly. A 2nd and 3rd round pick is what we have to offer in terms of picks. 1st and 4th were already dealt.

I don't understand why the Browns would trade Gordon. Nicks will likely cost either a third or a fourth, but you'd have to think a few teams could be in on him (Baltimore and New England immediately spring to mind), so that could drive up his value. Remember what Roy Williams fetched the Lions a few years ago?
