Security Clearance seems like an important detail and something a future PM should have and should pursue immediately. There is no practical reason why he doesn't get it. Unless . . .

He 'had reasons' not to get it while the foreign interference discussion was at the forefront. Not good reasons in my mind, but he did get some support on his position. But now, entering an election cycle, why would he leave that obvious target hanging over his head? He knows the Liberals will use it as a club, particularly now when it will be an election about foreign affairs.
Seems like an obvious own-goal, which suggests there are 'reasons'.

I think it’s going to end up being a nothing-burger. He’ll let the other parties use it as fodder to distract from his other real shortcomings. Then he’ll just get the security clearance and say, “look, there was nothing to see here”.

I agree that the Milhouse nickname is childish. But, from a quick search of this thread, I only see two posters who use it (Muta and Ozy Flame). I'm not sure that constitutes a circle jerk. Maybe a line jerk? Anyway, yes, its stupid.
And I hate to engage in whataboutism, but I can't help but note that we have the leader of a federal party who is constantly referring to people using pejorative name-calling: "Sell-Out Singh", "Wacko" Justin Trudeau, "Carbon Tax Carney", etc, etc.

Trump's a fool, but he's a cunning fool. I think he might have carve outs for oil & gas, potash, uranium, and maybe grain on day one. A because they're important to the US, and B to destabilize Canada. I agree with your approach of closing carveout loopholes with export taxes, but applying them broadly to two specific western provinces would cause a massive unity crisis. Just the sort of thing he would benefit from. That strategy has been nicely teed up for him.

If I am the Liberal party no matter who becomes leader my whole campaign is lots of ads saying that Pee Pee is Trump of the North. Play off his endorsements from the orange goblin and Evil Elon. Keep putting it in people's heads he just wants Canada to be Trump's playground. If you can make th majority of people in Canada associate Pee Pee with Trump that is how you can bring him down.

Agreed.
Though, i would say the vast majority of our "leaders" indulge in one way or another. Some are a little more brazen than others, but very few of them seem to resist the urge.

You don't even have to do Trump. You can just compare him to a mini Danielle Smith.
Like you have to be a complete moron if you think the Libs were only going to win 6 seats from the 'polls'.

Seems like I maybe hit a nerve. Guess maybe where there's smoke, there's fire?
Since you seem like the kind of guy that needs things drawn in crayon to at least partially comprehend, and since that option is not at my disposal here, I will give alternative means a shot.
circle jerk
nounNorth American
1.
informal
a situation in which a group of people engage in self-indulgent or self-gratifying behavior, especially by reinforcing each other's views or attitudes.
Here comes the crayon part. When someone says "circle jerk" in this context, they don't actually mean what you have apparently interpreted the phrase to mean... Though, judging by the extremely defensive response, maybe it should have.
Never thought I'd be in the position I'd actually have to explain that to a "functioning" human being, but here we are....

Agreed, and they’re all idiots. And the ones who complain about the “other side” while doing it themselves are the biggest idiots. The hypocrisy from some posters is somewhere between hilarious and disgusting.

Hey, he does look like Milhouse though, and I find that hilarious. He also has nicknames for everyone, so as a result, he gets one too. The Milhouse reference will continue.

Like really, is it that hard just to be fair to all sides?
I mean Trudope has a nice ring to it, but he is no Peepee.. and I'd take Helmet Hair over Busboobs any day. And you'd be absolutely Nutley to forget about commenting on Singh's jewelry.
