I never thought I'd ever sign up for a political party, but the UCP is too stupid and dangerous to leave unchecked and Nenshi is probably the only candidate who has a chance at removing them. So now I'm an official NDP member, get ####ed Danielle

Yup count the wife and I in too. Signed up!

Would be nice to have someone in charge that leads based on facts. Crazy how that's such a foreign concept in politics these days

Also worth noting the minimum age to get an NDP membership is 14. Just saying, if you have kids...

Nenshi after NDP couldn't beat Smith in the election.

I imagine if you look at a chart of new memberships by day it’s gunna show a massive outlier today lol.

I quickly overheard the other leader candidates on the news this evening talking about Nenshi entering the race. All positive except for one.

Guess who lol

Look at this thread, the last 50 replies are people buying memberships to vote for him.
I think your are right, per Wikipedia there are only 16000 NDP members in Alberta.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albe...mocratic_Party

That isn’t that many to offset. This completes my collection of party memberships having now been a member of various versions of conservative and liberal parties and now the NDP

Two more ANDP memberships added to the pile.

This feels like the return of D. Sutter to the Flames in 2021, except that it's new business instead of unfinished business

The main cost isn’t the money but the years of them spamming you begging for more money and contributions.

As conservatives always read the rules, then you'd know you need to buy a membership to vote.

Last election cycle was pretty eye opening for me. I loathed Danielle Smith and the Wild Rose contingency of the UCP, but because of the harm done to me by the former NDP government I swore to never vote for them again. My plan was to vote Alberta Party and I waited for a candidate who never surfaced. The choices were simply UCP, NDP and throwaway votes.

I actually voted NDP even though they were awful from my perspective, but they would have been the better party for Alberta. Smith is unhinged and doesn’t represent the typie of conservatism I believe in.

Tonight I bought my membership to the ANDP party, and while I had issues with some of Nenshis pettier moments, he led with poise and seemed to always have Calgarians first. Something I can’t say about the UCP.
