I dunno, after resigning and proroguing parliament Trudeau does still have the power to appoint senators, but after resigning, I don't think he has the legitimacy to do so. He advocated an independent Senate, but he will have ended up filling the Senate with a large majority of Liberals or people who support his policies. Remember, these unelected legislators will be able to sit until the age of 75.

If Trudeau had resigned earlier last year, would there have been tariffs today?

Answer: no, because we'd already be a 51st state.

Thanks for nothing Trudeau. Worst PM.

People we despise can do good things.

People we deem incompetent can also do good work now and then.

If you're so far gone down the rabbit hole that you can't see reality for what it is and acknowledge something that doesn't align with your hate-boner now and then, then you're as uncredible and unreliable at discerning reality than the talking heads at Fox News on a monday afternoon.

There was nothing Trudeau or the Liberal party could do to stop the tariffs. Even the most stringent CPC supports needs to realise this. This is all on Trump, and nobody else. I doubt even the Republican Party would have ever enacted tariffs themselves. This is all because of the Orange Man.

Comical. Based on what exactly? Has it been PP relentlessly saying we will never be the 51st state that made you think this way? The PP just submitting to Trump is the most false narrative going. There isn’t a single factual basis to back it up.

It was only a matter of weeks ago that Justin posted record low approval ratings. Which would in fact support the claim as one of the worst PMs ever.

“Relentlessly” aka a couple times days after everyone else had already said the same thing, while he was busy shoehorning in some irrelevant catchphrases and whining about Carney’s shoes

That’s your horse huh? Pathetic.

Hey guys! Trudeau appointed senators after he resigned, that's totally more important than the orange buffoon who is destroying the United States. News flash, the senate here is a meaningless retirement chamber for pals to get paid.

Now he needs to axe the tax and axe the tariffs.

The reason: he’s not Trudeau.

Nobody likes him, he’s a pathetic loser, he’s just “the other guy.”

Unfortunately, Carney is also an “other guy,” but he’s actually had a job.

Best of luck.

It doesn't take a scientist to put two and two together. Let me break it down for you:

PP rubs shoulders (literally) with the ultra right.

The ultra right in Canada are basically MAGA Trumpers.

Until PP denounces the ultra right and stops with his bs verb the noun woke ####, he will be seen as MAGA and compared directly to Trump politics.

The point was people were saying Trudeau has been working so hard the last few months, when really he has be stacking the Senate and giving away money and traveling to Europe, when he should be focusing on the trade war. Trudeau doesn't care about Canada or Canadians, never has, he is just trying to inflict as much damage as possible on his way out. You can argue all you want that there is "nothing trudeau could do", but at least the PM could make it look like he somewhat interested in preventing tariffs and not just dreaming up counter tariffs.. Which hopefully the money collected from Canadians is not just squandered away. Worst pm ever.

I'm sure Trudeau doesn't help the situation, but Trump is talking about tariffs with other countries as well. He's a moron who doesn't understand economic policy.

What Trudeau does or doesn't do won't matter in the end.
