Pretty crazy seeing all this while I'm in Vegas. Kinda puts a dampens the mood a bit. One of the girls we're with has a grandma that lost her house in high river.

How long is this expected to last?

Any word on the status of around 15th/17th Ave and 4/5th St SW? We left our condo this morning and are only really concerned about our parking garage (truck). Thanks in advance.

If you are in a non-evacuation zone. (http://E.g.at home) prepare for potential power outages. Charge your devices, save your work.

I went out to the North Hill Mall Safeway to grab a few things, the entire mall is closed due to the power being out

I just made the trek from SW to NW.

I went Glenmore, Sarcee, HWY 1, Stoney, Crowchild.

Basically from Chinook Centre, to Northland Village mall took 2.5 hrs. However traffic coming the other way was a lot lighter, I would estimate 1 hour or so. DO NOT take crowchild, they turn you back at BOW trail, or force you through a convuluted route that someone told me too 1.5 hours just to snake through DT.

Amazingly, we have people that are buying cars today here. We are on high ground. Unfortunately our Inifiniti Delaership is taking on water, as are all the Luxury Dealerships just across from the river there off of Heritage. This is gonna get expensive for the insurance companies.

I suspect there will be a lot of flood damaged cars on the market over the next while.

So long as you have comprehensive coverage it should be.

Downtown is being completely evacuated as per global. So all those micro mangers that made you be business as usual can now pound wet sand!
