Police scanner just said someone was spotted that looks like him in Milton, MA? Which is about 30 minutes from Watertown, MA.

If the Milton, Mass tip has any truth to it, it looks like a logical spot that he would have made it to by now if he was on foot. If you look at the map he was last seen on Arsenal Street at 3:30AM or so, that's 11.5 miles on foot to Milton, hiding along the way you think he could make it at least a mile per hour, which would put him around Milton.

I don't dispute that. In general, I'm going to be pretty wary of any "tips". When he's wearing a hoodie and hat, he's going to look like just about any young male at a distance. In an area like that, you'd also expect to see all sorts of skinny, sketchy people, wearing hoodies...aka homeless/drug addicts.

How likely is it he was moving anywhere after daylight in a deserted, paranoid city where everyone is looking out their window? Not very likely.

EDIT 276: 6:40PM Unconfirmed reports of high speed chase matching a vehicle description. My scanners are all down so I think it's a good time for me to run home and find a new one. Staying for a little while longer in case something happens.

But his scanner is down as well, so updates may have stalled for the time being.

I have a hard time believing these guys didn't have an escape plan. Russians and Chechnyans are responsible for traficking hundreds of thousands of sex slaves and tons of munitions every year, undedected. If these guys have tapped into the right network, good luck finding them.

It's still likely that he's just wandering around somehwere on foot by himself, but I wouldn't rule out an escape. Another possibility is he's killed himself, and his corpse is an abandoned building somewhere.

Take it from a grain of salt from reddit but....

EDIT 279: 6:46PM Reports of a suspect in custody. No description, name, location, or anything else. I can not even hint at it being the primary suspect.
EDIT 278: 6:45PM I have been sent a recording of the potential high speed chase by /u/That_Urks_Me and it seems as plausible as the other scanner audio I have found. It seems to be more that other countries should be checking for similar style attacks or something. Kind of like after 9/11 I guess?

Ok, I checked Interpol's site. They say:

INTERPOL has issued an international security alert, or Orange Notice, detailing the features of the improvised explosive devices used in the Boston marathon bombings to assist law enforcement across its 190 member countries detect any similarly configured bombs.

The INTERPOL Orange Notice, requested by the US authorities, contains photographs of the devices and identifying information including the fingerprints of the two suspects, 19-year-old Dzhokar Tsarnaev, currently being sought by authorities in the US, and his brother Tamerlan Tsarnaev, aged 26, who died after a shoot-out with police in Boston in the early hours of Friday.

A public version of the Orange Notice – with confidential police information removed – is also being made available by the world police body.

“The decision by the FBI and US authorities to request an INTERPOL Orange Notice will enable police services and other law enforcement agencies around the world to advise US law enforcement authorities whether they've come across similarly designed devices in their own investigations,” said INTERPOL Secretary General Ronald K. Noble.

Issued by the Command and Coordination Centre at INTERPOL’s General Secretariat headquarters in Lyon, all member countries have also been requested to circulate the Orange Notice to relevant law enforcement agencies in their countries, and to share any information on the suspects and modus operandi with the FBI and US law enforcement authorities.

Members of the public with information about the suspects or the devices used are advised to  contact the US Federal Bureau of Investigation as indicated on their web page and news alerts.
