Where did they film it? You'd think that doing it at COP would have been a no-brainer since everything is still there
Definitely not COP.
The trailer makes Calgary look like it's in the mountains, not near it. There is a mountain behind the olympic ski jump.
It's like they were too lazy to even google a picture of how the ski jumps looked like!
Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you, Calgary circa 1988, as envisioned by Matthew Vaughn:
Not a single #### was given.
According to the comments, the location is actually Oberstdorf, Germany and no attempts were made to mask any of it's modern look (they even left the tracks in, which didn't exist in the 80's) or to use era-correct equipment.
Also yes, you'll notice that Superman isnt exactly alone in that East Village pub packing back shots of low-rent scotch in the middle of the day and contemplating riding the C-Train in a liquor-induced stupor of scotch and sadness.
Still remember seeing Richard Pryor on the Stephen Avenue mall.

lol wow they didn't even try to make that accurate.
The location looks nothing like COP or Calgary. They're using new skis with the new Rossignol logo and the real Eddie Eagle says that only "10-15%" of the story is accurate. So he was British and went to the Olympics?

Of all the things I'd care about when judging a sports movie, whether the depicted venue looks like the actual venue might be at the dead bottom of the list.
The Eddie the Eagle story doesn't exactly hinge on the scenery behind the ski jump when filmed from the bottom looking up.

They also took some liberties with the actor playing Eddie. The real Eddie:
