That was one of the ugliest wipeouts ever seen.

No where near as bad but in the womens X-Country sprint this AM, the favorite from one of the old bloc countries...wiped out in warmups and fell down a raveen. Just bizarre.

Paerson from Sweden was coming in looking like she would be 2nd or 3rd but got backseat just before the final jump so she couldn't pre jump (absorb it to reduce air time) and ended up flying 60M (~200 feet) about 7M off the ground, appears to be ok. She crossed the finish line but her skis had fallen off so time will not count.
