I think the Flames lack upper end talent. They lost their two best players last summer and haven't replaced that upper band.
Huberdeau is a great complimentary player (which is somewhat unfair for 115 points) and doesn't drive a line.
This was made even more so with the top ten goaltender playing top 30.

115 points was second in the league. That’s not lacking talent. It’s failing to capitalize on it
Did you hear Huberdeau’s remarks? Seems like the style Sutter had him play was a problem for him
And Kadri was on prorated pace for 100 points. That is talent as well
Also somewhat related to the goalie, I hold a different view, and genuinely thought you would be interested in the Opportunity Analysis thread
