Oh yeah, they still have the stupid ass schedule for one more year. Monday final is absolutely awful. If they wanna spread the schedule out that much do like the French and start on the Sunday.

Women's tennis is more exciting because it's more unpredictable, but that's because the game lacks consistently great players outside Serena. Men's tennis for years has been entirely predictable (see only 6 different GS champs in the last 10 years) because the great players are so great. The quality of tennis cannot be debated though, suggesting women's tennis is better is simply wrong.

What I love about tennis is how not all scorelines are created equal. We see lots of 7-6 sets involving guys like Milos and Isner and Karlovic that are 35-40 minutes, whereas what we just saw was an hour and 15 minutes. 6 hour pace if they go 5 sets.

I didn't see the entire match, but Cilic put on a serving clinic and Berdych appeared flat for some reason.

The difference between 26 year old Fed and 33 year old Fed is an off night for 26 year old Fed is a 4 set win and for 33 year old it's looking like a straight set loss. Disappointing match so far, Monfils is playing ok but really not being pushed at all.
