Hopefully, he should be the next call up.
Just curious as I am not old enough to remember Paul Reinhart, but what style did he play? Is he more Max or more Griffin?

He was much more like Sam. Except he played defence and forward.

Just under 5 left in the 3rd and Heat still lead 3-2.
Uneventful 3rd period...

I don't remember him being particularly short or stocky, but he was arguably the Flames best player for most of the years he played with them (when healthy). A very smart player, and was at his best in the playoffs. A very smart player, and a smart businessman.
Usually a defenseman, he would often get moved up to centre when they needed extra offence. Unfortunately, he was plagued by back problems and missed large chunks of many of the seasons he played for the Flames.
Because of his unpredictable health issues, Fletcher traded him to the Canucks for almost nothing at the start of the 88-89 season. He was a big part of the reason the Canucks almost derailed the Flames in the first round of their Stanley Cup in '89.

8 game home stand now for the Heat after an ok 3-3 road trip.
Utica
Utica
Hamilton
Hamilton
Charlotte
Charlotte
Texas
Texas
Utica - (smelly Canucks affiliate) is dead last in the West, but we are only 2-2 vs. them.
Hamilton - 2-2 vs. them as well, but lost both games at home to them just before this trip.
Charlotte - Yet to play them this season, they 11th in the West and sub .500. Will be Nemisz' return to Abby.
Texas - Battle of the runaway top 2 teams in our division. 1-2 vs them this year, and every game has been a blow out. 9-3 and 5-0 losses, and a 7-3 win. Will be our 1st home game vs. them.

Going to catch a game on the 4th or 5th. $40 for a ticket 10th row behind the benches seems like a deal to me. Hope the concessions are good.

I call this year a write off for him. IMO the flames did a poor job with him this year. Hopefully he can get back on track.

Yeah the Flames screwed up in having him make the team on opening night despite not earning a spot in training camp, but it's really on him to put the work in over the summer. He needs to work on his skating specially his first step and he needs to work on his shot. Both aspects are not good enough for an offensive player. He also needs an attitude adjustment. If he whines about having to go to prospects camp again, it'll be really interesting to see what happens. If he has the wrong attitude, I could see him ask for a trade, but the sign of maturity would be to see him put the work in and really impress at prospect camp.

Some quick factoids for your brain matter:
- Granlund leads all rookie AHLers in goals and is fifth in rookie scoring. He also leads the entire AHL in game winning shootout goals.
- Knight is seventh in rookie scoring and fourth in rookie assists. Also, he leads all AHL rookies with four game winning goals.
- Hanowski is fourteenth in rookie scoring and second in team goals (third if you choose to count Street).
- Wotherspoon leads the team in plus/minus with +11 and is sixth amongst rookies in that category.
