The way society is moving these days, this guy might be considered a viable candidate in a few decades.

Someone on Reddit caught him putting a sign on their lawn and apparently he got quite aggressive when confronted. He's like a less cuddly Larry Heather.

I mean the "subjecting doctors, teachers, policemen to fMRI to detect pedophilia" is just the tip of the iceberg here...

Also he runs a Bitcoin Mining Store, which only sells a 4 year old miner that barely makes any money after electricity and is overpriced by about $600.

I think I would be good with either Nate or Jasmine for Ward 3. I am seeing a real hodge podge of signs on peoples lawn. A Farkas, Trentholm, and a “Save Our Education” on the same lawn. The latter seems like the odd man out.

I gotta say, I hate that I know more about 3 total whack-job candidates platforms than any of the the real candidates.

You know some of those whack-job candidates will still get more votes than some of the actual candidates.
“Yes, I ran for mayor in 2021.”
“How did you do?”
“Finished 14th, behind a lunatic who was in jail during the election, and some other guy who was obsessed with pedophiles and aliens. But at least I beat Larry Heather...”

Is Calgary’s garbage, recycling and composting service managed and fees charged separately as a utility or is some of the cost buried in taxes.

The group of fees are detailed on my monthly Enmax bill.

Mostly covered by fees:

Does the WRS budget still receive property tax support?
For 2019-2022, WRS will continue to receive tax-support of approximately $20 million/year to fund community wide programs and strategic initiatives including:
- Education and communication
- Community Recycling Depots
- Christmas Tree Depot Program
- Community Clean ups
- Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Program

It looks like all residential pickup is entirely funded by user fees.

And didn't they lower the recycling fees shortly after implementing the blue bins because they received more money from refundable deposits than they initially thought they would?

I don’t even know what the Green Line is anymore.
Where it is slated to go, it will probably add a transfer because my community express bus will just stop at a Green Line station instead of downtown where I’d be able to conveniently catch the Red Line.

So its the "my salary is frozen, but I still get raises" argument then?

Who's getting raises? Non-union City staff have had their wages frozen in place for 4+ years. Unionized City staff got 0%, 0%, and 1.5% over the past three years. Per the article you linked, some employees got a promotion to a more senior role that comes with a higher salary, but that's not the same thing.
