Do you have the side switch on "vibrate"? That makes it stick in silent mode. I once downloaded an app for my niece with 20 different animals and when you touch the animal each make a noise. I was trying to test it out before showing her and it wouldn't work. I was, like, what a stupid buggy app. Then realized the phone was on vibrate.

That little "silence" switch on the side has tricked me a few times as well, and I fall for it every time.

The switch isn't the issue. I think there must be lint or something in the headphone jack or something. When someone calls me and I'm not on speakerphone, I can't hear them.

Yeah I was going to. But my 'in and out'/blowing combo that didn't work half an hour ago seems to have worked now.

I had that problem on and off almost since day 1 so I exchanged by phone before the warranty expired.
And it went either way.. sometimes it wouldn't recognize that I'd pulled the headphones out, and sometimes didn't recognize that I'd put them in.

It was the first time that it happened to me and I've had my phone for 14 months.

So whats the low down on current iPhone users wanting to get a 3GS? Do I have to pay full price, or do I get a discount or what?

I learned that I have to wait two full years to get a discount on the price. I'm about 13 months in.
Hey, can someone tell me how I can send a text message to more than one recipient at the same time on the iPhone?

If you choose new text message, just start typing peoples names at the top in the "to" box.

I went out and bought that InvisibleShield today. Looking to install it soon. Any last minute tips/tricks?
How long should I expect to spend working with it?

I have no idea how long it takes, but I hope you have the hands of a surgeon.

these videos might help.

Don't be afraid to use the solution in the spray bottle. It will help with positioning the film on your phone before it starts sticking.

The trick is to be liberal with the solution. You want the shield to be able to slide around on the phone when you first put it on. That's how you position it.
It's scary, I know, but the solution isn't going to blow anything up. I was pretty freaked out on my first install, but I've done it about 7 times since (mine and other people's devices) and everything always works out fine in the end.
I definitely have to psych myself up for it, though.

I'm having some weird lagging issues with my phone. I go to use the lock button after I'm done typing a text message and it instead takes a photo. I'm wondering if it's a update issue for me or something like that?

My first Invisishield install was a failure. It was due to nowhere near enough solution! I ended up throwing it out and going back to the cheap ($21 for two) screen protectors that I've always had good luck with.

I'm going on vacation to the US. Most of the hotels I will be staying at have wifi. Is there a way to turn off 3G so that I don't accidently start using it when I meant to use the wifi?

Yup. Can just turn your 3G off in Settings > General > Network. And even to be super safe you can just put your iPhone in airplane mode, and then go into settings and just turn your wifi back on.
