Agreed. I live in Ontario which also has Spence Diamond's commercials. Right now, there are some radio stations that play his ads every commercial break. I went from turning the radio off when Spence's ads started, to turning the radio off as soon as a commercial break began to finding another station altogether that doesn't play Spence ads and just sticking to that station. Like you, I will never, ever shop at Spence.

Spence has really turned up the diarrhea dial these last couple of months and now they're waging all-out war. they used to just have one irritating ad at a time on rotation, but nowadays that dumb couple gets more airtime than Boomer, Steinberg, Warrener, etc combined.
it's the biggest ongoing radio troll job ever, and it's probably working great too, like spam. annoy a million people but make a profit out of the handful of actual responders.

Is Spence Diamonds the company that has the "we don't have to tell you our address, you'll find us" ad?
If so, eff them. I wouldn't shop there just for that arrogance.

Any of those Spence diamonds commercials are just painful. Seriously. They're like the old soundsaround ones - so bad I actually want to rip the radio right out of the dashboard.
"Why do I put up with yooooo"....

That scratch and win lottery ticket commercial with the people whose smiles are 4x the size of their face. It's almost as creepy as the Wonga puppets.

I bitched about this gem to my gf. Why would a girl say that? What about, "Wow, that's beautiful?"
If a girl said 'wow, he can afford that?"... alarm bells and red flags would be going off in my head like crazy.
Oh yeah, and that commerical f'ing sucks.

On the flip side, the Meow Mix song never gets old. Such an effective marketing tactic.

Exactly. Take the one thing that probably every guy is a little paranoid about when it comes to women, and make that the focus of your ad like it's a positive? What the hell?
What's great is that in another of their current ads, it's all about buying her a ring to show how special she is and it's all about love. Yet, wait a few minutes, and then you hear this stupid one that basic implies it has nothing to do with love, but all about proving your worth by spending a lot of money.

I don't necessarily hate the A&W commercial about their steroids free patties, but when he sneaks off and asks people there is one that I just want to throw something at. She's about the 3rd one and it goes,
Is knowing what's in your food important to you?
absolutely
why's that?
Because I want to know what I'm eating, the way she says that with an extremely annoying tone just makes me cringe. I am so glad I don't know her in real life because I bet she talks like that all the time, even though she is probably an actor.

Not a specific ad right now but an ad trend. Using bored/disinterested sounding voice over people.
A good example has been Old Navy's holiday ads. It's a deep-voiced guy that purposely sounds like he just got out of bed and he'd rather be doing anything else. Not just them, I've seen/heard this used in a lot of other ads too. Just a weird trend that I don't like.

All cologne ads annoy me too. They're all so over-the-top pretentious, and try way too hard to be cool.

The "Annoying Holiday Bill" commercial with the fat guy dressed like an envelope.
I've seen it a million times over the last month or so, but last night was the first time I actually noticed that it's an ad for Interac debit. It seems like they're targeting a non-existent market with the ad.
If you're disciplined enough with your spending that you have enough money in your account to use Interac to make your holiday purchases, you don't really need to worry about having your bills hang around too long after the holidays. On the other hand, if you're the kind of person for whom Christmas means a big pile of bills in January, you probably don't have the money in the bank to use Interac to pay for things.

Recent annoyance has been the Rhino Realty commercials, with that guy basically yelling at me to go check them out. Yah, like I want to check out a company that sounds like they hire a bunch of Tony Soprano's to run the place.

Plus the fact that she says that AFTER she has already taken a bite. So you didn't want to know before you took the first bite, but now you're good?
