Depends on the bit pieces I think. If they consist of some combo of decent prospects and picks, it might be acceptable.

LARP Aside I think it's easy to see wihtout requiring any leap of belief in insider info. This guy has had contracts exceeding his market value on the table for months. He hasn't signed because he doesn't want to be here. He requires convincing to stay. Even if he does stay, his motivation will be halved compared to being somewhere he's excited to be.
We already lost lindy.

There are not abundant other options out there for acquiring a 1C.
If it is true that ownership will not allow a trade for pieces seen as a rebuild, then IMO the most likely scenario is that we see Lindy walk for nothing next summer. That's where I am putting my money today.

Okay how much money?
$100 says the Flames dont let him walk for nothing in a year

I'm still hoping he's traded pre season and management sees the light. But if the situation remains end of October I will make this bet with you.

I tend to agree and it's more of an incremental moving to the middle on the negotiation.
Will be nice to finally have this resolved though

He is waiting to see if he can get Calgary to up their offer because the expectation of the cap increase next year. I don't think it is a specific issue with Calgary as far as the offer goes. My hope anyway.

Ok, so other well known insiders are also LARP too as they have reported the same thing? Keep digging up, you're wrong. Craig Conroy has also said Lindholm wants to be a Flame as well, I guess we are screwed as our GM is not serious and only LARP. What a shame.

The only other "Insider" here has actually posted that he thought lindholm was leaving too.
Re: Conroy, he's going to say that no matter what. He has to, in fact.

Because both sides are still working hard on getting a deal done. There is plenty of time, both sides are going to try and get the best deal they can. If Lindholm did not want to be here he would have made that clear like Hanifin did. There is absolutely no reason he would not have asked for a trade. His agent and the Flames are currently still negotiating, this has been reported by multiple reputable insiders now, not just me.

Thanks for explaining. I was wondering if you had some connection to his agent.
Previously, I’d only heard about the Flames trying to get a deal done. But now Seravalli has said that the path is open to him re-signing, and that Lindholm is listening to the Flames more than he has in the past.
I personally interpreted the big offer being on the table and unsigned since the end of June/the beginning of July as a sign he wasn’t going to re-sign.

I'm not an insider and haven't talked to Lindholm about it myself, but it looks like he is most certainly willing to stay, if the price is right.

Just because the Flames haven't presented an offer both sides find acceptable, isn't indicative of whether Lindholm wants to sign or not. Sec214 specifically stated that it was just his opinion, and, therefore, not based on anything inside information form Lindholm's camp.

Yeah. I don’t think anyone on here knows what Lindholm’s thinking. We’re all just interpreting the bare bones facts as we know them and looking to people who might have connections with agents for information.

Sec214 has also stated that it's false to consider him an insider, and yet everyone does.

No disrespect, but we don’t know if any of this is true. We can only speculate based on rumours.
