Brad's awkward bottle opening/closing style is awkward.

Actually no. You're being obtuse if you think the rebuild isnt over.
The rebuild isnt over?
How many picks do we have this draft? In what rounds? Have a good look.
But yeah....no, I'm being obtuse and the 'rebuild' (without assets) is in full swing.

It's over, whether you want to admit it or not.

No, it's not. This is not a finished product and many of our top players haven't reached their prime yet.
Judging this team as a finished product is asinine.

My take. He's going to get an experienced coach. AV, Sutter, Trotz, those of that Ilk.
That's about all I got from that. Oh and he has a cannon packed and ready to load a few players into. I think he's gonna cut deep for the players making him.fire his boy.

One good thing is we don't need to rush and get a coach before the NHL Draft considering we have no picks /s hahaha

It's not a finished product. Trades and adjustments are made all the time to most teams.
But the rebuild is over. Now it's just a standard team that needs work. So if that's how you classify rebuild, then that's where we have our problem.

I thought his pause on the question "was this considered a couple of months ago?" was quite telling.
And Special Teams being an area coach has largest influence on.

Can someone clarify the player comments. He said something about that part of the problem were "players he brought in"?

What's the required number of draft picks that one has to have to be considered as still rebuilding?
This team is not a finished product with how young it's core is, and development isn't linear.
The fact we missed the playoffs this season is disappointing, but nowhere near "blow it up" territory.

I liked that BT was sure share the blame with everyone. The players and management of the Flames need accountability. It would not be reasonable to use GG and the other coaches as a scapegoat. The Players need to feel responsible for this seasons short comings.

It's not a rebuild anymore. They're in augmentation mode.

He has to IMO. If they hire another guy with no winning track record at the NHL level how do they know without a doubt that the problem is mainly with coaching or not if the team fails again.
Get a guy like AV, and if the team can't win, then the team is not good enough.
Get a guy like Peters, and if the team can't win, is it the coach, the players or both?

I thought that was a terrible presser. First time I've really questioned BT and his style. I hate double ended statements like I take responsibility but the coach had to go, but he was a great coach, but we needed to make a change, but i'm responsible, but this was the way forward.
He couldn't be a little more positive on the way forward and the reason why? Please. What does he have to lose by weighing in on the decision making process at this point.

As far as I'm aware, there is no set definition of what a rebuild is or how long it takes, so where it ends is entirely subjective.
But the suggestion we might need to blow it up because we missed the playoffs this season is lunacy.
