No Aaron Loup or any lefty available out of the bullpen today according to Twitter. Anxiety levels just ramped up to a full 10.

If a pitcher is in a jam, and the battery of left handers in the lineup are coming up, Price will go to the bullpen and start warming himself up IMO.

Just saw the Rangers posted their game 5 lineup on twitter...as expected, Bannister just stacked his lineup with their lefties...2 Choo 3 Fielder 4 Beltre 5 Moreland 6 Hamilton. The timing of the Cecil injury and Loup's emergency family issue is just plain awful.

If Stroman can get you through 7 it doesn't matter anyways.

Cecil would be great to have because he is arguably the teams top pitcher that can come out of the bullpen. But it's not like every left handed hitter hits 350 against right handed pitching and has a 950 OPS.
Good well executed pitches will get guys out regardless of the matchup. Tepera as an example held lefties to a lower OPS than he had against right handed hitters.
You want Stroman to get you thru 6 innings and than the likes of Hendricks, Tepera, Lowe, Sanchez, and Osuna to try and get the final 6 outs.

With Loup out is it possible to add someone to the playoff roster? Someone like Buerhle perhaps?

Are we actually bemoaning the fact that Loup isn't available? We have a lot of RHP I'd trust against a lefty than Loup.

No temporary bereavement or personal leave in playoffs which means they can't temporarily add a player. From my understanding they could add someone to replace Loup, but it would be permanent.

I'm anxious, have trouble focusing & have butterfly's in my stomach. As a baseball fan, I've been waiting for this for over 20 years.

I am just hoping for a good start, dont spot them an early lead to start the game like they did in the first two at home. Go Jays!

I'm going to guess that David Price gets called in at some point if Stro can't get through 7 innings. I know Gibbons said "Don't count on it" but it seems like the smart thing to do if Toronto is getting into a jam against the Texas lefties.

FWIW, MLB has kept the roof in Houston closed as well. And that makes even less sense.
As far as Price goes, one batter, two at the absolute most. And then, only if it is a critical lefty-lefty situation.

That was a bad decision by Collabello.
