Dougie seems to have earned himself a promotion tonight.
Russell (22:47) - Hamilton (22:43)
Gio (22:05) - Brodie (21:50)
Come on Bob just give us Brodie Hamilton a try next game, pretty please.

Played four seconds less than Russell, thus Russell > Hamilton. Russell Brodie pairing please

Hamilton had a great game....That was his 2nd game (out of 20) where he was a top-4 d-man playing close to what we expected from him and are paying him to play like.
Maybe he and Hartley read this thread and were inspired.
Keep up the good work Dougie.

Or maybe, just maybe it took him a few games to adjust to a new city, new teammates, and a new system. Which one do you think is more likely?

Exactly.
If I were an owner I would not agree to give out 6x6 type deals for 21 year old players that were not established as at least the top 20-30 players in the world.
The league had a lock out so that an owner had the option of giving a player a 3x3 deal after the ELC.... why wouldn't you take advantage of it.
If the Flames or Bruins paid Hamilton 3x3 when he became a UFA they would be able to offer him a 9x3 as a UFA and be at the same point as a 6x6. (numbers rounded)

Then you would have a crappy team that would have trouble touching the salary floor. Bold strategy, Cotton.
Someone would've offersheeted Hamilton eventually if we offered him 3x3. He would've laughed and said no, and then signed with someone else.
One guy doesn't determine the marketplace. You either pay the going rate for players or you have a bad team comprised mostly of castoffs and rookies.

Or maybe you are if you actually think Ricardow wants to have a logical debate.
His account is very likely ran by a moderator to keep people posting and active on the board. And it's getting old..

Dude... get off of MY thread..... You can start a thread of your own: "Calgary Fan Boys wanting to be Oiler like in their adoration of Dougie Hamilton"
I promise I won't clog up your thread with repeated personal attacks.

Back on track.
After a rough -11 start, Hamilton is +4 in last 6.

I actually commend you for singling out the most hilarious parts of his posts to quote rather than the whole delusional rant.

On the other hand...
If he wants his OWN thread we can create one for him thus confining his strange thoughts to one place.

The mega thread seems to have improved Hamilton's play.
Maybe we should start one for Gio?

Nice idea. Having flashbacks of that guy who just slowly lost grip and then melted down in one day.

Liked Hamiltons game last night. One of his better ones in a Flames jersey, which isn't saying much, not like he was unreal or anything but played a fairly solid unspectacular game.
He still took a stupid holding penalty and had a horrible giveaway but blocked a couple of good chances and made a couple of good, heads up outlet passes to get out of his zone.
Baby steps.
