I will say this, I really believe that they will not win with Bautista on the team but this last series, it appears as if he is no longer just going through the motions, his body language says he gives a damn and wants to win.

Just heard #NedYost comments about the game. Lost a lot of respect for that man today.

"I think they're used to pushing people around," Dickey said of the Royals. "So when they come onto the playground and there's a kid that is bigger than they are for a day I think it probably pisses them off. And I can't blame them. That's part of their swagger."
Quote:
"Jim Wolf I have a lot of respect for him behind the plate; I don't think he made a lot of the right decisions today," Donaldson said. "That's what you end up getting out of it, games like that — you get bench-clearing — When it never even had to go that route."
Quote:
Volquez and Royals manager Ned Yost said they expected someone to get hit and said it was intentional. Sanchez defended himself, arguing his pitch just got away.

"If I wanted to send a message I would've sent a message to their big guys," he said. "I think it was kind of crap, but we'll move on. We got a 'W.'"

Sorry, the recent run of success means you need to get back out of cell tower range until mid-to-late October. Pack your things and say your goodbyes.

Lol, I will fly to a bunker in Siberia if it means the Jays make the playoffs.

All you need to do to get out of cell range is switch to Rogers and spend your time in NE Calgary

Uh huh... so Ned Yost thinks that Aaron Sanchez intentionally hit that guy... with a pitch that started out over the plate but had late run inside and struck one of the smaller parts of the hitters body? Wow... with that kind of control the Jays have an Ace for sure in Sanchez!

If the Jays make the playoffs would Anthopoulos be considered to have the best trade deadline deal season in ML history?

They have to make the PO's first but a month ago he probably was considered out of work come October, now he probably will get a huge raise.

Remains to be seen, but this would have to be considered the textbook definition of 'Going for it'.

Ballsy stuff by AA. Good for him.

If this goes sideways and they don't make the playoffs, he's gone. He knows that and has to have all his fingers and toes crossed for the rest of the season.

I like the lack of fear. Nice to see from a Blue Jays exec.

I guess we'll see over time, but it seems to me they didn't give up all that much for what they got.

That game today is the kind of thing that can really bring a team together. Hope that happens and they kick ass the rest of the season to the tune of something like 40-20.

A huge raise is a long ways off. Even if we make playoffs, we basically have no starting rotation for next season.

Hopefully we can turn some of this momentum into a few wins and worry about the rest later.

I'm just talking about this years trading deadline, IMO it was epic deadline dealing, lets face it, it's baseball...next year doesn't matter.

Loved the emotion from Buck on the mic yesterday. We'll see if anything happens today. I thought Donaldson handled himself extremely well with the media after the game. Bautista tweeting about losing respect for Yost was silly. That's baseball Jose. The denials are part of the fun.

It's Aaron Sanchez. If he had tried to hit the guy, the pitch would have ended up three feet behind him.

6. Yordano Ventura on the mound, though his performance Sunday afternoon on Twitter was far more impressive than anything he did the day before with his right arm.

Some context: The Royals' reputation as a team that likes to scrap begins with Ventura, and after Kansas City pitchers hit a pair of batters and brushed back Donaldson with fastballs twice Sunday, Sanchez hit Alcides Escobar in the knee and was ejected. After the game, both sides popped off, which prompted Jose Bautista to say on Twitter he lost respect for Yost, which prompted Ventura to fire off three tweets he deleted soon thereafter.

In those tweets, according to two people who read and translated them, Ventura said to Bautista: "We'll meet again later and if you do that with me, you'll see what I'm about. I don't care about anybody. I used to respect you, but you're a nobody. … You got lucky this time, but MLB doesn't get canceled after this season. Keep running your mouth. … You need to stop giving signs. You're gonna get it from me for being fresh and you really are a nobody."

So, not only did Ventura call a six-time All-Star a nobody – twice – he accused the Blue Jays of tipping pitches to their teammates, which brought back memories of The Man In White. After Ventura wiped the tweets away, he tweeted: "I take responsibility for my words. I'm not scared." And that was that, classic Ventura, audacious and over the top, about as incapable of controlling his emotions as he is his 100-mph fastball, so full of potential but so far from fully grasping it. Sounds a lot like

I often get rid/try to hide things that I take full responsibility of too, just like Yordano.

So the business of sign stealing, had very little knowledge of it so looked up. Sounds like it's part of the game. Why are the Royals crying? Is it cuz they're players are to stupid to pick up on these signs?

Article from 2010

"It's not cheating, it's just trying," said Padres veteran Matt Stairs, who's been in the Majors since 1992, long enough that he's hit home runs for 11 different clubs. "If anybody thinks it isn't going on, they're living in a fantasy world. And with the technology that's available today, with all the video, nobody should be fooled by it.
Former Royal Bench Boss and current Blue Jays Manager John Gibbons

The Royals were a nice cinderella story last year but now they're bunch of whiners.
