I know it's a value added concept, but do people really care about characters faces?

I'd put myself in the camp that cares, but to be fair the faces from years past are different from the faces now. They're not just taking a head-on image and stretching it around a 3D skull. I'm assuming here, but I imagine a face in '15 is more involved as it has expressions and moving parts. Perhaps I'm wrong and it is just that easy, but it seems to me that it's probably more complicated than most think.

Is there a way to listen to your own music through the ps4 in the background? With my Xbox 360, I would stream playlists from my PC and have it play instead of the announcers

You can, but annoyingly it has to either come off a connected USB stick or from the $10/month sony music subscription service. It's the reason I'll have to pick up a USB hub.

good question. I truly don't. it is not the reason i have basically stopped playing the game.
Inability to play meaningful defence, stupid AI, and generally poor puck/player collision mechanics are a much larger problem than recognizable faces in the game.
adding recognizable faces to the game would be like putting lipstick on an ugly pig (or however that analogy goes).

I always try to stay between the man and the net on defense and don't go for big hits all the time at the blue line, most players will see you loop around and just cut around you. I find the defense bareable and you can shut guys down but I always find the block shot button and the poke check can really bite you in the butt. I always try and block by just placing my man in the shooting lane and only use the poke block and dive when it's desperate.
One thing that drives me crazy is the amount of goalie interference penalties that are called when your driving the net and throw a one timer across. Seems like the passing player always just hits the goalie and even though you might score you get a penalty.
Also the lack of Johnny Hockey in HUT is getting rediculous but at least its the time of the year to feast on Christmas Noobs in Vs mode with him.

...I'd argue this is the first year where defense really does come into play. Strong positioning, selecting proper strategy, proper breakout strategy, etc. etc. etc.
Also, the vastly improved physics also give you the ability to block passes like never before.

I adjusted some of the sliders. Turned up poke check and stick lift, as well as pass interceptions. Turned down puck control, pass reception, and a couple other things. Made the game much more sloppy, yet the skilled plays were earned, and felt really good to pull off. Actually having a great time with the game now.

obviously, its supposed to be a simulation
if not why bother having proper jerseys, team names, rosters
honestly it just shows how half assed the game is. NBA 2k has realistic players down to their tattoos.

I have never tried trading in HUT until now and figured I would put out a feeler for a TOTW Datsyuk for Duchene and Hall. When I go check the trade offer though it is showing I only offered a contract while Hall and Duchene are removed from my team. Is this a normal glitch and if the offer is rejected they will return to my lineup even though it is only showing I offered a contract? Or did I just lose them thanks to a glitch?
EDIT: They returned to my collection when the auction expired. What a relief. Other than still being stuck with an Oiler disgracing my roster When I have put some stuff up for auction before and received trade offers only a contract was showing up a few times. My reaction was just people trying to snag players from somebody accidentally accepting but maybe it wasn't displaying properly like this.

I'm on 360.
Still looking for an EASHL team!

I'm concerned they'll throw in EAshl next year with all the same annoyances; slow menus, pausing in games, not receiving credit for every game, constant lag in every single game etc. and expect people to eat it up because it's a "new" feature.

They've had a whole 2 or 3 years to develop it for next gen so if they mess it up people are gonna be choked. I don't really play EASHL and am more of a HUT player so it hasn't bothered me not being in the game but it would be nice to mix it up once in a while.

Do you guys save your pucks and just purchase the players you want in the Auction House or do you buy packs and hope for the best? I have a team full of < 90 rated players and it seems like whenever I buy a Jumbo Gold pack all I get are lowish 80's players.

I look at buying packs as buying scratch and wins. Your not going to hit big cards on 90 percent of them but there will be those couple packs that make it worth the value. The biggest card I've pulled out of a jumbo gold pack was Modano. For building your team it is better to buy players and work the auction house to make coin. There are a lot of cards people sell for less than the quick sell amount so I just buy those and quick sell them all. Quick on most golds you can make 20-30 pucks (50 for gold players if you buy them at 250).
Also look for deals on star players and sell them for a quick profit. I did this with Burns out of SJ earlier in the game. He was selling for 10-12k so I would buy him at 7-8 and sell at 11 and make 3k quick.
