ANyone know whats up with Sarcee in the west, heading down the hill towards 16th Ave NW from Bow Tr? Showing up as solid black on Google Traffic, even though its only the 16th Ave bridge thats closed.
Looks like it opens up on Stoney after the Bow Bridge.....this isnt from ###### gawkers is it?

Also, to everyone posting updates etc., this information has been great to help cut through some of the noise for family and friends in Calgary. Extremely beneficial.
Great job everyone.

All of Sarcee is jammed. 16th ave at sarcee is shut down, so they are slwoly turning people around, the road is unpasable. do not go down.

I am not sure in the sense that I have any inside info, but this is the exact thing that a city does to show its resilience. Calgary has a strong sense of that. Also, Nenshi said so in his press conference. It is 2 weeks away, cities don't just stay flooded.

EDIT: NVM - that horizontal structure is above the batter boards so the flow is going over them obviously.

On the radio they said the highway / 16 Ave was closed. From Google Traffic, I'd guess it is closed all the way from Home Road to Sarcee.

This isn't something you can just reschedule, things are booked a year in advance. All the midway rides/food stands are scheduled for other fairs the rest of the summer, as are the rodeo participants.
It'd be a bunch of people walking around on hot, empty pavement.

But how does that made Westbound 16th Ave to Stoney northbound so clusterf'd? Aside from a set of lights at COP, its free flowing
