hahaha mixed doubles should be fun. I'd like to see a chick return Milos' serve.
Tomorrow, Milos will play his old buddy. Fernando Verdasco.

Maybe she'll follow in the footsteps of fellow Canadian, Wozniak
Speaking of Bouchard, she beat Kumkum today in straights sets to advance to the Rakuten Japan Open QF.

Looks like Milos faces Wawrinka in the next round. That will be a tough match.

Too many tiebreakers for Roanic. Leaves too much to chance. He's gotta improve his return game and become more consistent at breaking opponents.

agreed. I just looked at the live stats right now.. Wawrinka is winning 76% of his SECOND serve points (13/17). That's awful returning.
In constrast Milos is only winning 57% of his 2nd serve points however there have been no break points at all in the match. now 3-3 that's 18 consecutive holds with not break points faced.

Yeah, the scary thing is I think it has improved dramatically this season (which tells you how bad it was) and he still has a ways to go. Credit to Wawrinka though, he's had a great run of late.

Yeah, Raonic is definitely moving the right direction, but still a lot of work left. As it is right now, he's pretty much a 7-10 guy, especially once Federer finishes falling out of the top ten. If Milos' return game can take that next step, that's what gets him into 4-6 territory.

Genie Bouchard is in the Japan Open SF after she beat Barbora Zahlavova in three sets. She'll face Kurumi Nara.
Sam Stosur is playing in the other SF vs young American, Madison Keys.

Bouchard/Keys or Bouchard/Stevens could be a cool/elite rivalry in the future.
There aren't many young Europeans in the picture right now.. maybe Robson?

woohoo!
I cannot calculate women's rankings as well as men's. But I can see that right now Genie is up to #32. If she wins this title, she will move up to 26 or 27.

"Oh little Genie (Jeannie )...."
She becomes the first Canadian to reach a WTA singles final since Marino at Memphis in 2011.
