if Big MJ and Berbatov can do us a favour on Saturday that by the times Spurs play Man City on Sunday could be only 2 or 3 points back with 2 games in hand

Arsenal drop two points in their second hardest fixture remaining and Spurs fans are thinking they are set, nervous much? It's going to come down to not dropping points against the 'lower' clubs and really focusing on your own matches. It is a cliché but every match has to be treated like a Cup Final.

Looks like Chelsea have agreed to a deal for Andre Schurrle.

Good pickup for them if true, hes a great attacking mid.

Where did I say we're set? I think predicting Arsenal to finish the run-in with anothe 9-10 points is pretty reasonable. Spurs don't exactly have a cakewalk, but they have a shot.

no one said set, it's going to depend on the who wins their own, but people were acting like it was a given Arsenal were top 4 this year yesterday at this time
Wilshere had said "3rd is enough... for now"
it wasn't over when Spurs were up 7 points a month ago, it wasn't over yesterday, and it's not over today
my guess is Chelsea finish 5th and I think it could come down to GD

The way I read it sounded like you thought four games will be enough, they will be won and the other teams will drop enough points. It is the business end of the season, I could be getting overly sensitive.

As much as I hate Spurs, seeing Chelsea languish in the Europa League or worse would be a sweet, sweet sight.

Do you think Spurs fans take anything for granted this time of year? We both know they're going to beat City and Chelsea, before losing to Wigan and drawing Stoke and Sunderland.

Looks like Christian Eriksen is going to leave Ajax this summer. If what Ajax said today is anything to go by he's headed to Liverpool.
"We will send out a press release when there is an agreement, only a deal between Ajax and the club," Ajax press manager Eefje Schep told Danish TV2.
"So at this time there is no agreement between Ajax and Liverpool.
"Whether we negotiate or not, we do not comment on transfer rumours.
"Right now Christian Eriksen is focused on very important games we have to play at the end of the season."
Anytime a club has to come out and deny a deal for a player between 2 clubs there is usually some truth to it.
Would love him here. Especially as I don't think Gerrard will play every minute of every match next season, like he has done this season. I'd love to see Lucas and Gerrard sitting in midfield with Eriksen as the #10.

Yep he moves to England this summer, really hoping to Spurs (Vertonghen could help sway him) I think he's going to be great
probably comes down to Spurs/Liverpool and the Manchester clubs
he seems to have his head on right, he turned down both Barca and Man City in the past because he knew he would need playing time to progress

I believe in the Jays.

Spurs already have a bunch of bodies at that position though, and some pretty good ones. Do they really need more attacking mids?

depends on the system, I think once we got Holtby who is basically the same type of player the chances of it went way down and if they spend ALL of the transfer money on a striker this summer I won't complain
but I don't think it would hurt to bring him in, can find spots for those two and Gylfi to all play
Eriksen can play deeper which for the 4-3-3 AVB wants to play would be perfect
I have seen writers compare both Holtby and Eriksen to Modric in that they play further forward now but going forward can become deep lying playmakers in CM

I'm hoping Suarez wins it just for the awkward photo of having to hand him the trophy.....

I think Holtby, Sigurdsson, Bale and Dempsey can all play that position. Eriksen is best as an attacking play maker.
He would need assurances to hold down a regular starting spot, because right now he has that already, in additional to winning titles and playing in the CL.

I would be surprised if Dempsey is there next year, and if he is it's as a squad player
having Eriksen/Bale/Holtby/Gylfi to cover for 3 positions possibly isn't too many
If he goes to Liverpool he might be 2-3 years away from a chance at CL

The money would be better spent on Damiao and the back four.

For me it depends
I think Rose has a legit chance to be a great player, wouldn't mind him getting a shot unless someone like Contraeo (who may leave RM with Mourinho going) comes
new striker is 100% needed
cover for the wing as well
BAE, Gallas gone
