Madness that Gibbons brought Biagini out for another inning. Just madness. Take the (surprisingly) clean 3 outs and run

Its even better when they do both. 4 solo jacks today and 4 more runs scored other ways.

I could see this team going on a run for the next month just to muddy things up. Anyone else?
Devon Travis is finding his groove at the plate. (.333 avg / .904 OPS in June)
Kendrys Morales is also hitting again. (.316 avg / .800+ OPS in his last 22 games)
Steve Pearce is on rehab assignment in AAA and hitting well. (3 for 5 with 2 BB's in 2 games)
JD is likely going to come back soon.
Hernandez continues to hit well. (.300 avg / .975 OPS in June)
Grichuk is hitting well, and he's already a plus defender and baserunner. (.320 avg / 1.000+ OPS in June)
And most importantly, Estrada and Sanchez seem to have found their groove and the rotation as a whole is giving consistent quality starts.
Still so far out though, even if they get on a run I hope they sell, sell, sell.

They'll sell, but not as much as everyone will want - here's what I see:
- Happ traded for a pretty decent package
- JD gone for not much (but better than nothing sort of thing)
- One other lesser position player gets moved for a few guys we don't know
That's probably max activity, and regardless of their record. They are 13.5 back of the WC; there will be no postseason this year for sure.

It will take one of Seattle/Houston or Boston/New York crashing and burning to get back into this.

I do think one of them will (Seattle probably). All four teams aren't going to finish with 100+ wins.

Yeah, I don't see them "getting back into this".
I can see them going on a bit of a run though and winning a bunch of games. Especially if the starting pitching continues to do well.

Sounds like the Yanks and Mariners are expressing interest in Happ.
here's what I hope to see:
Happ to the Yanks for OF Clint Frazier, then re-sign Happ in the off season maybe.
JD to the Braves for one or two of their pitching prospects, they have plenty and a temporary vacancy at 3B. Gohara or Fried maybe?
Estrada to the Mariners/Brewers for some more pitching prospects, if he continues to pitch well. Maybe Luis Ortiz from the Brewers?
Don't know if they can get anything for Axford or Clippard, but the Jays FO did pretty well with trading Liriano and Smith last summer.

Blue Jays: Devon Travis Is Back!
Quote:
In the 18 games since his return to Toronto, Travis has produced a .372 wOBA. This captures the fact that he isn’t just slapping singles out there, but instead generating the kind of contact that leads to extra bases. As with his BA, Travis’ wOBA is well-supported by his xwOBA. He isn’t getting lucky right now, he’s just making great contact and getting the results that said contact “deserves”. Notably, his current 15-game xwOBA of .376 is one of the best marks of his career.
