I don't know much about the Qatar guy, but as a Canadian national team fan, I absolutely loathe Jack Warner. The guy has been acting unscrupulously for years, it would be so great to get rid of him and see him finally called to task - nice to see him again getting in trouble, hope it actually sticks this time. Usually Blazer is his best bud no matter what so maybe this is the end.
Either that or punt the huge Carribean voting bloc out of our confederation and let them join CONMEBOL or have their own super corrupt little federation.

I can't keep track of who the villain is in all of this - or is it all of them and they are all throwing each other under the bus?

There are a lot of them. I think that Lunn might be a straight-edge while Blatter is ditching his partner in crime.

Sepp's victory "party" has a cash bar. Just waved a tenner at the barman and somehow it seems I'm now in charge of the Bundesliga next year.

I dont know how that guy gets away with it all the time. Seriously, celebrities and Politicians should be taking lessons from him. He could put on a private clinic for the English national team.

Sepp's crack committee that will decide the fate of Qatar 2022 now includes Johan Cruyff, Henry Kissinger, and
I am not making this up, Placido Domingo.

Well then, glad that's been cleared up. So easy.

What makes a country a "football nation"? I imagine there are far more people playing football in the USA than Australia (and possibly England too).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soccer_...d_States_today
The largest category of soccer in the United States, at least in terms of participation, is boys' and girls' youth soccer. Though organized locally by organizations all over the United States, there are three main youth soccer organizations working nationwide through affiliated local associations. The United States Youth Soccer Association boasts over three million players between the ages of five and 19, while American Youth Soccer Organization has more than 300,000 players between the ages of four and 19. Finally, the USL offers a number of youth leagues, including the Super-20 League and the Super Y-League, which have almost 1,000 teams and tens of thousands of players from the ages of 13 to 20. This makes soccer one of the most played sports by children in the United States.

Very good question trout.
I could make an argument that USA is more of a footballing nation than BRAZIL!
For example.
MLS is a 20 team first division where the average attendence is 18000
The Brazillian first division is also 20 teams and has an average attendence of only 15000.

True, but it would be a very weak argument and most likely get you laughed at.

My argument is pretty strong. The USA pulls in good crowds in alot of cities. They get good crowds in not only the MLS but in the old USL and now the new NASL. Also good crowds for collegiate games too.
For example, Edmonton FC and Tampa Rowdies pull in 2500-4000 and they're in the so called 3rd division of american soccer.
You go to a Brazillian 3rd division match and you might see two men and a dog and that's it.

Average attendance.. 11,074 and that's the FIRST Division.

That's ignoring some pretty significant economic factors is it not?
