I'm 96 percent done the game. Let me know if you want hints rather than answers, and maybe I can help.
Such a great game.
One thing I will say about this console/PC thing is this: I couldn't imagine playing Arkham Asylum on a PC. The controls and simultaneous buttons etc would flip me out.
For the same reason I think first person shooters are better on PCs, I think games like Arkham are better on console.
Edit: These have also proven to be a tremendous relationship booster:

some games belong on PC, and others console. for a game like Batman i find it much better on the console

This argument seems to hinge on the assumption that you can't hook your PC up to a controller (and big screen TV, and sound system...) Bad assumption.

20% off on Steam for people that own AA.
I hate you Steam, I know that by the time I'm done with BF3 and Skyrim and the other bazillion games I haven't played yet AC will be $10, but this still almost made me buy it.

Great game. I've finished everything except the Riddler side mission, not sure I have the patience for that. I've saved 4 of the hostages, that's going to be enough for me. Missed the Killer Croc easter egg, you can't go back and get that one.
The Riddler Challenge maps will keep me busy for a while, a lot of fun. Robin isn't nearly as stupid as Robin normally is, he's actually fun to use.

I got the catwoman pack, and just recently, the night wing pack.
Both are fun.

Is there any need to pick up the cat woman riddler trophies? Is there a special anything once you do?

Just adding to your total Riddler trophies towards his side mission. So no.

I've got medals on all the Riddler challenge predator maps, but do I ever suck at doing combos. Looks like it's going to be the same story as Arkham Asylum and I'm only going to get 3-4 medals on the combat challenges.

The key to the combos is taking your time.
You can generally get in 2 strikes before you will need to counter. There are 3 types of dudes you can't punch straight on.
1) Padded Guys: You need to cape stun them, for the beatdown.
2) Shock Stick Guys: These guys you have to leap over to strike, that's the only way.
3) Shield guys: I hate these guys, they constantly spoil my combos. You have to do an aerial attack on them, O, X, X
I don't really use the special moves like batclaw, I just stick to a rhythmic combo and try not to get ahead of myself with button mashing.

FYI, in addition to Walmart selling the console version for $30, Futureshop is pricematching it also.

usually for the special guys i just try to keep my distance from them and work my combo meter up on the regular thugs. then when it's high enough i use the special attack to instantly take down anyone. works a lot better than trying to remember which special attack i have to use for each specific enemy. the combo special that lets you destroy whatever weapon a thug is carrying is also great since then none of the other guys will be able to pick it up

Thanks for the heads up, I knew everywhere else it was $40 but if Wally is doing $30, I'll be heading there tomorrow.

Crap, picked it up @ BestBuy for $40 today. Didn't know it was going for $30 @ WalMart.

It was $30 at Futureshop too. Picked it up at 4:30 today and they still had quite a lot of copies for the 360 at the one in Coventry.
Just put it in now, looking forward to playing it this weekend.

Great game. I'm just trying to decide on replay ablility.
I have finished just about everything, but collecting hundred of silly trophies and annoying riddles isn't my idea of fun. And the last 2 AR sessions are frustratingly difficult, so I gave up on them.
Maybe I'll just start the 2nd story thing.

Just find a copy of an ad for Walmart, or print off a screencap of their website with the price, and take that into Best Buy with your original receipt for a refund for the difference plus 10%. I've done a few times, no hassle.
Edit: Oh yeah, if you go the website route, they deduct whatever shipping costs you would incur from your refund. Lame, but just a heads up.
