I'm waiting for the first Canadian Sonic to open in a former oil change location. Ya know, so you can still drive up in the winter.
Also, In-n-Out > Five Guys > Fuddruckers > everything else.

I haven't had a Five Guys burger in quite awhile, since it first opened it town I think, and I think it easily has to be the best fast food burger in Calgary.
Carls Jr is good but I still think Five Guys will beat it hands down.
On a side note, tried White Castle for the first time when down in Vegas, and did that ever suck compared to the expectations I had!

You can? You just ask for extra bacon?

Ask for extra bacon and you get extra bacon at no additional charge. Now I expect CP to cause them to rescind this policy when bacon consumption goes up by 300%.

Give the A&W Pepper Bacon burger a try, very yummy IMO. Hope it's not a limited time thing.

in my mind it is not really fair to compare 5 guys/fatburger and other places like this to McD', Wendy's, A&W, BK as the former (5 G's, Fatburger) is a step above typical fast food joints

Agreed.
Plus you can determine what you want on your burger right then and there and see them make it. Anywhere else I need to say no mayo because most places put a whole jar on the damn burger. At Harvey's I can say "just a little mayo" and stop them if they start doing too much.
I don't understand the fascination with putting so much mayo/mustard/etc on burgers. It just becomes a bloody mess and you can't even taste the burger anymore after they have coated it with every condiment under the sun.

The toppings situation at Harvey's is definitely the best ... however what's with the patties? They're like meat that's been blended and formed into a sponge like burger. There's a distinct lack of beef texture there and it's disturbing.

There is no doubt they have the worst excuse for meat patties of any fast food outlet. That's probably a reason they are a lot less of them at least out west as we know what good beef tastes like. Maybe some of you older people remember the days when your mom would take you to the Bay to shop for stuff and then lunch in their restaurant which served essentially basic cafeteria food. Well those crappy burger patties were still better than Harvey's.
You can make a Harvey's burger taste good because you are putting so much topping on it that it overcomes the synthetic beef taste.

Their great Canadian burger is pretty good! I won't go back to the Brentwood location though. I find that short plump women with a hairy mole to be atrociously rude.

The glorious Mozza burger, the only fast food burger where I don't have to hold the onion.

I would like to counter this by saying I hope to god you're not serious. Are you aware that Alberta is world renowned for its beef?
