it's called disposable income buddy. I've been to Graceland as well and other spots. I appreciate people who made a difference in the world.
I just get a laugh out of you making an opinion on how people can spend their money. Who are you to judge?
Maybe you could never afford that? I don't know.

Quite simply it was and is a great album.
The problem is they then tried to make the same damn album over and over and ruined it.

Not the best comparison, since the beatles released an album every 6 months. But Thrillers album sales are more elusive than Gretzky's records.
But the real story here is meatloaf, bat out of hell @ 43 million (3rd all time)

Also not much of a comparison as The Beatles albums were distributed solely in record format originally, and had a much lower global distribution range. Not to mention the fact that album sales in general were much lower during that time period.
It's like comparing playoff scoring records between an era with 2 rounds and an era with 4 rounds.

Maybe? Nah, that's pocket change. If you'd like I'll fly you out to pick the lint out of it.

Unfair comparison just going with one album. By that logic, the backstreet boys are better, more important and more famous than Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, etc.
A better one is total records sold.
Total records sold by MJ: 750 Million
Total records sold by the Beatles: 1.13 billion

Found an article that had them. Apparently their source was a record label (I want to say it was EMI but I've since closed the article).

Let's talk about jockstraps and then we can crush up some of those delicious PEZ candies and snort them up our noses. Sounds like fun!!! YA, LET'S DO IT!!!!! That's not drugs though is it? I don't wanna be called a weirdo. Can we listen to Iggy Pop instead of all these other weirdos? They make me feel uncomfortable.

Dammit I'm out of "thanks" for the day. That made me laugh.
Also, now I'm working on getting a full team together for this whole Jacko exhumation jockstrap mystery. I need at least 3 more people. Interested?

All I can get

Two notable rock teetotallers that I can think of off the top of my head are Ted Nugent and Gene Simmons. One is a fascist gun nut, and the other a notorious misogynist.

You went and missed the point entirely, Meatloaf rocks, even harder than the backstreet boys.

This thread now has nothing do with Johnny Cash, and now has turned into NHL09 defending Michael Jackson.
Can we lock this bitch already?

I was hoping for something quicker. Strapped to a missile and sent into the sun would be my preference.

This thread needs a poll! Who rocks harder: Meatloaf or Backstreet Boys?
