Now here is the thing with me and Radiohead...is that they're effing awesome except for Thom Yorke's voice. The words he sings and melodies therein are insanely beautiful, but the basic sound of his voice makes my testies shrink.

He is a brilliant composer, performer, engineer, but I cannot stand the dood's voice for extended periods.

^ Thats awesome. Is it a Radiohead song? Or Spirit of the West (who I know nothing of)?

Radiohead...... love some of their songs, dislike some of their songs... either way I still have them on my pod.

Your post is like this Spirit of the West song (Let the Ass Bray) that was written after seing Yorke act like a dick when someone requested creep be played.

We were gathered on a Thursday
To see the 2 out of 5
Pitch your newly pressed pop record
And the room was well inside
Until the faithful got the bends
And you never made amends
For the fielding error on the call
To play your best known song of all

I wanted to hate you
That was my first choice
I wanted to hate you
Until I heard your voice

My, how rude, so impolite
All this on your night of nights
Little man of smallish frame
Crushed beneath your pop band name
Your table manners left behind
In an Oxfrd flat at suppertime
You came of range on centre stage
Now sleep's not all your losing.....
Thats funny...I honestly don't understand why people think Thom Yorke is such a dick though. He seems a little protective of his work and his image, but doesn't strike me as complete jerk like some would suggest. Would people rather he was a nice guy who played Creep upon request every time? Then Radiohead would be like Hootie & the Blowfish...nice guys who wrote that one song back in the 1990's, but no one really cares about anymore.

Yorke is/was just incredibly awkward, angry and paranoid. That's why he makes such good music.
