Unless anyone has any further comments or suggestions, we'll go with the supplemental draft starting on Tuesday at 12:00 pm (noon) CP time (I decided to give it an extra day in case you didn't read this thread on the weekend). The waiting period will be 24 hours, so the next pick will be on Wednesday at noon, and again on Thursday at noon.

Thanks!

Yes, that's what it shows on my PC (although I'm not sure if that's a personal and/or default setting).

12:00 pm (noon) CP time aka Mountain Standard Time

For the first supplemental round of the draft, Team The Puck Was In!!! is proud to select our other favourite Finn, Ville Niemenen.

He's won a Cup, and Silver medals at the Olympics & World Cup as well.
Plus he was hilarious and I loved him as a player in the '04 run (despite the suspensions....)

Team Hangin' at the Dome selects in the Supplemental draft, forward
Sandy McCarthy

Quote:
Sandy McCarthy (born June 15, 1972, Toronto, Ontario), is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He plays right wing.

Sandy McCarthy was selected 52nd overall, in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. He was selected as the 3rd choice of the Calgary Flames on June 22, 1991. He began playing hockey in the Georgian Bay Junior C Hockey League with the Midland Centennials and the Central Junior A Hockey League for the Hawkesbury Hawks. As a power forward, McCarthy played for the QMJHL Laval Titan in the 1989–90 season before being drafted by the Calgary Flames. He played one last season with the Titan. His next stop was during the 1992–93 season for the IHL's Salt Lake Golden Eagles.
He would stay in Calgary for the next five years before being traded, in 1998, to the Tampa Bay Lightning, for a short stay. His next stop was with the Philadelphia Flyers for the next two seasons then a brief stint for the Carolina Hurricanes. McCarthy would then move on to the New York Rangers in August 2000 where he would have score a career season high 11 goals. The next season, he would score a career high in points with 23. He was then signed by the Boston Bruins during the summer of 2003 then was claimed off waivers at the 2004 trade deadline by the Rangers. He remains an unrestricted free agent.
One of the toughest guys who could also score --- although not as much as he thought he could.

Thanks. I was surprised he was still available; plus, I have all but assured myself second place in the voting by picking him

Controversial pick of one of the most debated Flames player in quite a while.

YEAH BABY will take the Juice

Kristian Huselius.

No arguing with his numbers. 182 points in 216 games.

I'd argue that he got most of those when we didn't need them, and not a lot of them when we did.

Aww... he was next on my list, if only for his sick dangles and sweet shootout skills
