Question:
I believe Salman Rushdie was born in Pakistan. Does that qualify him as World Lit?

Salman Rushdie was born in Mumbai (then Bombay), but I don't think he counts as world lit. I took him in the european category as he a)writes in English, b) lives and was educated in Britain, and c) his books deal with the conflict between the eastern and western worlds, especially from the perspective of the eastern immigrant into the western world, which, I think places him in the European category as opposed to World.

We will be very liberal in allowing picks - I think Rushdie can reasonably be placed under world or euro.

Winter Festival Holiday* approaches rapidly. Is there going to be some sort of leeway for pickin' times?
Some of us will be away, some of us will be drunk, some of us will be away and drunk.
You know how it goes.
Just wonderin'.

I think we can proceed as usual - catch up and make picks later.

As of Sunday I'll be gone for two weeks. So I'll be missing a couple picks.

Anyone interested in World or Travel or Food/Drink for their Sci-fi?

I'm interested in dumping my non-fiction biography - I just don't read bios. I'll consider trade offers for any other category.

I could be. I want to unload Children's and maybe one or two others. Frankly, I can't remember which ones I have left.
I'd be interested in "Anthology/Short Stories," or any of the NFs besides Food and Drink, which I traded early in the draft because I knew I was screwed for that category. PM me if you think there's a deal in here somewheres.

OK--looks like I have:
World (non-euro)
Children's
Fiction-Wildcard
Scientific
historical/political
and wildcard
I'd trade any of the non-wildcard ones, but at least 2 are the ones you're trying to unload. Any interest in the above?
