Aww, I checked this too late! Sunday at 2pm I would've been there. Are you guys playing again this coming week?
I would be up for a weekday game too.

Fixed.

hey guys,
not sure the formatting of this league, but when i was out (without you guys) playing ball hockey, I realized that I am way too out of shape to be a forward all game.
So do we need specific positions, or will we rotate? Not sure how serious this league will be, and if it is serious and we need specific positions, then I need to either switch to D where I can walk every now and then and be lazy, or I need to get on the treadmill stat!
I had some good chances in my game, decent passes and not too bad positioning half the time, but I am so rusty.

We can rotate our positions if our players start to get tired. So like switch a forward back to D for a few shifts and bump one up to forward like Vandy.

The Superleague is pretty serious. There is rarely anyone just walking around. If you're too tired to be hustling, you should be subbing off. We're in the lowest division right now, and the Superleagues is far from just a "beer" league. It's quite competitive actually, but fun nonetheless.
I'm on a couple teams this season and sometimes too busy to play in all the games, but I make a point not to miss any of the superleague games. Its a really well run league.

That is less tiring than taking shots from four sides.

I can make it this weekend. What's better - a wood blade or a plastic blade?

I'm thinking of getting some plastic blades for the rough streets of St. Monica.

I should be there again. Plastic blade is way better. My wood blade is already chewed up from last Sunday.

Maybe that was from the ball hopping over it all the time?

We could pay the less fortunates to sweep the court, and retrieve balls for us.

I thought we decided to call them reprobates? Less fortunates sounds like we care a little.

Is this for guys that have signed up for the ball hockey team only, or can I show up and play? If so, I think I'm in.

I'm just saying that for the first time I played ball hockey in 5 years, I was poop-ed relatively quickly. I think if we practice some more, and I hone my skillz, I should be fine in superleague. I am no pro or anything, but I would rather play in a well-done and organized league that is slightly competitive if it's going to be more fun.
I will try to bring out some people on Sunday, and one of my buddies has goalie gear so if he doesn't come I'll try to borrow it!
