I'm wondering if the show didn't get its budget slashed. There seems to be a distinct lack of action and special effects shots in the past few episodes. More Summer Glau would also really help (though the completely gratuitous underwear shot of her in this last episode was nice).

In sleep clinic land, Sarah continues to be suspicious of the lady researcher. She calls John and they break into lady researcher's secret room where they find a computer system set up to take detailed scans of patients brains. Lady researcher comes back to find them, and there's a tussle which reveals lady researcer to be a terminator (or something similar) who shoots Sarah and John. I presume this took place in Sarah's imagination.
In kidnap land, Sarah and baldy go back and forth between talking and torturing. Sarah chews and thumb-dislocates her way out of handcuffs when she hears baldy get orders to killer her, after which a tussle ensues which ends with Sarah shooting baldy while yelling at him "You're real!"
Definitely a poor episode outside of the aforementioned Cameron panty shot, reminding me of one of those filler episodes of X-Files where they had to air something but weren't ready to advance the story arc.

Tonight's episode was very good! Back to more of the story that I prefer, and lots happened that wasn't expected once again.

I dropped off the Terminator train a while back. I just didn't find it engaging, and I have too much stuff on the PVR anyway. The best Terminator movies had a sense of urgency, and that does not always show up in the TV series (for some pretty obvious reasons).

I have to disagree about the sense of urgency in tonight's episode. I thought it had quite a bit.

tonights was the best in some time. I was thinking of giving up on it after last week. Glad I didn't.

Good episode, story is moving forward, things are starting to happen. Think Cameron was bluffing about the explosive to ensure John's trust?

The Riley story arc is finally over, thank Xenu, and things look to be getting back on track.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a confrontation between Reese and Jesse next week that ends her as well.

FYI . . . . Summer Glau will be on The Big Bang Theory - a great nerd show - on Monday I think. About a quarter-way down this Chicago Tribune tv blog is a sneak preview:

I like how matter of factly they answered the question on why she had been collecting terminator parts and materials in about 20 seconds.

After the ratings from the last few weeks, some may have had a grim prognosis for Fox's Friday Night Sci-Fi lineup. According to the traditional numbers, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Dollhouse have been getting trounced in the ratings, week after week. However, it appears that those numbers may be deceptive, as new data may be their saving grace. It appears that recently-released data from Live+7 show that DVR viewings, while not putting them at top, significantly increase the actual numbers for these shows.
The February 13 premiere of Dollhouse originally pulled in a 2.0 rating in the adult demo and was increased to a 2.6, thanks to post-premiere-viewing. However, it is the underrated and struggling Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles that gained the most, with a 36% gain in ratings.

Just watched last night's episode and thought it was great.
Lots of tension building, and it looks like they might be developing interesting storylines set in the future.
The only down not was the stuff with Ellison and Cromartie -- I like the idea of that story arc, but the delivery hasn't been great.

really interesting to see Terminators giving equipment to humans, were these terminators reprogrammed Conner specials? Or is there some kind of rebellion in the skynet family that leads to the creation or our favorite garbage singing red hair not really attractive urinal faced t-1000?

At first I thought they were just reprogrammed, but the other option seems totally viable considering there has always been something that bothers me about Weaver's intentions and the whole teaching morals to John Henry etc.
