Calcrests has been closed for two weeks, and are open again today, so I'll contact them today and see where they're at. When I talked to her before, she sounded pretty iffy on having them ready for our eval game on Sept 3rd, so we'll likely have to wear random jerseys to that. But they should be ready by our first or seond league game. (The HnA gives you til november to be wearing team jerseys)

I went in today, and the blank jerseys should be arriving in the next week or two at the latest. She said all the lettering/numbering will be done fairly quickly once she has them in hand. So with it being Aug 18th, I'd say having them for our eval game on Sept 3rd isn't out of the question.

Is it too late to order one?
If so, will there be another run?

Originally I was going to take orders from CP'ers and put it through with our team order. However, I didn't want to complicate our team order, so I figured if I could get at least 6 CP'ers to commit to ordering a jersey, I would do that for you guys. The reason being that because these are custom jersey's, you have to order a minimum of 6 at a time. When I get some time, I'll set up a thread to gauge the interest.
The other reason for waiting is that I don't know how they're going to turn out. I'm sure they'll look great, but if for some reason they didn't turn out that well, the Calgarypuck hockey team won't be devastated because at least we'll have a use for them, where as, regular CP'ers that just bought them because the prottotype looked awesome would be up in arms if they shelled out the money and didn't like the finished product. They should be arriving within a week or two, so when they do, i'll post pictures of the actual jersey on Calgarypuck.

Are you coming out to watch tonight? We're stopping for beers before the game... and we have the goalie from your Gorillas team in goal for us.

Im going to lol if you win out the playoffs....play possum all season long with your 0-15-0-1 record and then BAM! take the division
Team Ikea is going to be in rough shape, seems a good portion of our team didnt play enough games to qualify for the playoffs

I don't think I can make it tonight, unfortunately.
What's going to happen since I can't play in our evaluation game?
My finger is still raw hamburger, and could be looking at 4-6 weeks until I can play.

I talked to James Kelly already, and he said it will be fine since you played for the Gorillas this summer and last winter,so he can just look up your stats.
Was it really a lawn chair accident???

A patio chair, one of the long ones with leg support. The bar that holds the leg support up wasn't secure. It didn't feel right when i sat on it, so i put my hand under to push the bar back, and the chair collapsed when I shifted my weight to see what was wrong. My finger got stuck in a metal bracket and it sliced about 1/2 to 3/4 inch off my finger. Took the nail with it. They had to amputate part of the bone that was now exposed because i had lost so much skin. It's a hair longer than my index and ring fingers But, when the skin grows back it'll be hardly noticeable... if I ever get a nail back, it'll be really hard to notice, i hope. but my finger is considerably shorter now.
Lameo story as to how i lost part of my finger. Just a brutally freak accident.

Crazy, but good to here you should heal up for the most part, at our last game i coulda swore someone said they might have to take the bone down past the top knuckle.

7-4 W for the Saints tonight!
Best part was that it's against the team that has the guy who has 50+ goals in 12 games, is a AA player who's playing in E. hahahahahaha

Well, there was talk that they may take it to the knuckle, but I said hell no. I told them to take as much as necessary to make it actually safe (raw bone w/ no skin = problem), but leave as much length as possible. The downside is that healing will take 2-3x as long, but, if all goes well, i'll save a few mm and may grow a nail again.
Basically, they told me if I was a carpenter, they would have gone much lower so I could heal in a week or 10 days and be back at the job... luckily, as a student, I have time. They sewed the bottom half of my finger back and attached it to just below the top. So, the bottom looks like a normal finger with stitches in it, while the top is still raw hamburger, it does resemble a finger. I still have a few mm of what was once my nail bed. But I can't go work at the landscape job, and I miss out on some playoff hockey, but i'm coming to terms with that
Now the question is to post all the piccies to facebook ... lol

Wow, what a win toinght! we played a team with a guy who scored somthing like 60 goals in 15 gams this regular season, and beat them 7-4.
I think I found the perfect pregame drinkning formula. 2 on the way home from work, then 3 in the parking lot, and then 2 more in the dressing room for a total of 7 pregame beers which led to a 4 goal performance.
I just got home from crushing the rest of that 2-4 in the parking lot and man, I've never seen so much excitment in a post game tailgate outside.
Our first win of the year! Who knew the team that went 0-15-0-1, would win their first playoff game and advance to the second round? haha
If the Saints and Gorillas play at signifigantly different times, you should come out again tomorrow Jayems, you were a helpful presence on the bench for sure.
Also, any Calgary puckers that want to come and cheer on a true underdog story, come out tonight (we find out the time early Saturday), there will be free beer for all!!
