Totally sucks, Twitter for Blackberry is crap in comparison. I hope we can get Ubertwitter back.

Apparently they just needed to change some stuff and are back. It's now called UberSocial
UberSoc ÜberSocial
We have a new version ready, just waiting for Twitter to verify it and turn everyone back on.
They say you can download the new BB app here:
http://www.ubersocial.com/bb/download.php
But I haven't got it to work yet

I agree. I downloaded it today out of frustration and it was pretty bad.

How does it compare to the official Twitter app for the iPhone/iPad? Is it the same interface? On the iPad its pretty darn nice, and not bad at all on the iPhone. I haven't seen it on a BB, and ironically, I had never even heard of ubertwitter before Jim Rome today..... (and as an aside, how mainstream is this whole thing becoming when JR is discussing apps!)

Never used Twitter on any iOS device, but the official app for BB falls well short of Ubertwitter.

Just started following NHLFlames a few days ago, I'm convinced the person who runs it is a member of CP. They use all the same expressions ("Bork Bork Bork", "Scoreface", etc). I know those aren't exclusive to CP or anything, but I never hear it outside of this forum.

Pretty sure at least part of the time it's Alex Ruiz.

This.
I distinctly remember some CPer's telling her about both nicknames.

Tweet things that interest you and would interest other people. Think for 3 seconds before typing and you'll probably tweet better things.
Follow people who tweet fun/interesting things. Retweet or comment on their tweets. They might follow you.
Don't expect celebrities or organizations to follow you back.
Also, you only follow 25 people. Why should people follow you if you don't follow them?

Because I'm a dick. #winning
But I don't know, you probably got a point. I try and follow everyone who follows me, but I only use it on my iPhone so I usually just tweet or read what people I follow have tweeted. I rarely search for things. Thanks though.

If you aren't contributing then nobody will find you. There's nothing wrong with that ... lots of people just lurk.
I've found the two things KTrain brought up are key. Tweet what's interesting to you. You're free to tweet things like "Off to breakfast with my wife" or "argh!", but in truth those are a little better suited for Facebook where people might actually know your wife or have an invested interest in what might be bothering you. Tweeting what interests you just ensures you develop a network of like-minded people.
If you just send out noise people will just stop following you. Everybody is different, but for the people who are following 200+ people, multiple tweets with little substance just come off like spam.
There's no real right way and wrong way to use it. That's just what I've found to be true if growing followers is your goal.

Use it however you like. Why should you feel like you need to impress others? Twitter is a great source of information. I use it more to see what is going on out there than to inform the world of my thoughts, personally.
That being said, I will not follow people who update every 10 minutes with stuff like "Eating", "Bored!", or "Doing homework, it sucks!!!". Twitter is for short messages, but those are seriously annoying.
Twitter says I have 72 people following me, but I can guarantee you half of them are spambots.

Speaking of which, the dickbar fiasco on iPhone has been quite amusing to follow so far. Twitter took a real misstep there

One way to get followers is search for things that interest you, and then @ reply the person who is talking about it. Three things might happen, you'll either get a conversation going with that person, they'll follow you, or they'll ignore you.
