This is very true. The south side can be unbearably hot in the summer, while the northern side stay cool during the year. Another issue with the south facing offices, is the glare from the sunlight on the monitors for most of the day.

When we first moved in, the windows could be opened, but now they have to stay shut.

All mens washrooms, have 2 stalls and 3 urinals lol

Wasn't the original design that ugly one with the Batman ears? If that's it then I glad we got the redesign, it looks stunning.

I guess I'd had to have seen the original design in real life to truly judge, but I prefer what we got.

I'm guessing BigTime was referencing the next design change that neutered the atrium space and the sky gardens in favor of larger floor plates.

Yup, that's exactly what I was referencing. I'm not that keen on those original designs either (Batman ear ones). Still wish Encana had secured a site that could have let them go taller, I bet they would have pushed 1000' if that had happened.

What a nightmare. I thought Sun Life was horrible with its two-men-in-a-room-only pooping policy. Is that actually the case? One ####ter per washroom??

The bat ears design would have been even more unbalancing for the skyline, but at least it wouldn't have a fat, boring silhouette.

The men's washrooms have two stalls, but that's two stalls for the entire floor so there is always someone using them.

Really nice washrooms though... the doors open automatically so that you don't have to touch door on your way to and from the washroom. One of the remaining perks for folks working at Cenovus/Encana

Yeah I prefer the bat ear design as from the NE view it looks like a basic, fat building. The ears would have at least made it look a bit more distinct.

Curse our latitude another dozen or so floors would of made it not such a fat stump. Any reason why they did not try to do something taller on the south block?

Speculating here, but it may have been to restore the historic facades in their original location.

Edit: or because it forms a better shape with the south block given that the arc orientation of the Bow is based on environmental factors.

Isn't this pretty common? It's that way in Bow Valley, 5th Ave, and other buildings of that vintage I've been in.
