I don't think he did. I'm pretty sure he placed his hand on the coffin, but that was it.

Allright, so who is Ben's man on the boat? Michael?

I would be absolutely shocked if it wasn't Michael.

Syaid (sp?) is his man on the boat.

Sayid was locked in with Desmond and Minkowski when someone (Ben's man pressumably) opened the door for them.

The preview of the next episode said a "face you never expected to see again." Possibilities: Michael, Walt, Charlie
Loved the part when Ben asked if the rabbit had a number on it. He is my favorite character by far.
The guy that gives Locke the file on Sawyer - Ben's right hand man - he has been off and on the island - he interviewed Juliette - perhaps he is the first mate of the Black Rock and how the log left the island?
Who was Widmore beating? It looked kinda like Charlie... maybe it is Charlie on the boat somehow.

It's Micheal on the boat. The actor Harold Perrineau is credited in the episode from last week.

The shrink confronted Juliette about her affair with Goodwin, and implied Goodwin would be in danger if Ben found out.
In the jungle she relayed a "message from Ben" to kill the 2 Freighties on their way to the Tempest before the gas could be released.

Is it safe to assume that? He could appear in a flash back, a flash forward, in Jacobs cabin who knows at this point? It does fit the clues for next episode though...
Also, we know Sayid starts working for Ben at some point, and Desmond could be a plant in Widmore's world with how his destiny has always been pre-determined.... so many possible angles.

I don't see a way that it's not Michael - the actor was credited in the sixth episode last night (Harold Perrineau) and it fits the clues, not to mention in the preview, when it says, "someone you never thought you'd see", the shadow looks like it has the same hair as Michael ... you know the same shape and all. It also fits with Ben telling Locke that he'd better sit down before being told who it was.
I thought it was interesting that Ben is certainly being painted in a more sympathetic light these days while Widmore is being given the villian moustache.

I don't see it being Sayid of the Future, as you can only time travel via consciousness not physically.
I think it's Michael, then again they could be pulling a Simpson's and have everything lead up to it being Michael, and it's really someone else (Jack's dad perhaps? John wouldn't know him, however it would be a shocker when explained "oh it's Jack's dad").
I think part of what the show is demonstrating is that there's good in everyone (see figures like Kate and Echo) and there's evil in everyone (see figures like Jack's dad, Mr. Widmore). That people have both sides to them, frankly I like the character development of it.
I can't wait to see how they tie everything together. What's neat is that Charlie's last words were "Not Penny's Boat" when in reality it is her boat, or at least the Widmore's.
I also like how they finally gave Ben a weakness, Juliette. It's leveradage, but really when and how can they exploit it?
What does John find out about Mr. Widmore? How much of it is "pieced together" and how much is "hard evidence" as Ben said that the file was a combination of both.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned the new Dharma station, the Tempest. The Tempest was Shakespeares play of a sorcerer who raises a storm that causes a enemy ship to crash on his mysterious island, and holds domination over a deformed create and a spirit.

Have they ever explained whats up with the polar bear and the black mist that runs around the island? I have seen every episode except 3 weeks ago when I had a technical difficulty with my PVR.
Ever since I bought my PVR it sure is nice to record and watch and forward pass all the commercials.

Well, I thought the polar bear was from the zoo (wasn't it?). (Edit: it was, per Lostpedia)
The monster thing, no, but they refer to it every once in a while ("asking Ben "What is the smoke monster?!?").
Although in the first season, the monsters were very prevalent - making noise every night, knocking down trees, seeming to grab or chase anyone in the jungle. The past couple seasons it only seems to show up when they need to make people run through the jungle.
