Am I the only one who thinks that chair would be awesome to have in a guy's TV room? (Assuming of course, the buttons on the chair could be programmed to operate the TV/DVD/etc. This is also assuming that one wouldn't dress up all the way and pose in it all day too).

In the second movie, he came across as normal, he wasn't wearing the uniform anymore, and he had actually found a girl.

I've been there a few times, but all I've ever gone into is the Tourist Centre, the A&W/Gas Station and the Liquor Store.

From the article...
Quote:
Earlier this week, Paramount Pictures said the premiere would not happen in Vulcan, due to logistics. The town has no movie theatre and the projection and screen would have had to been custom made. The town had contractors on standby waiting to retrofit its high school gymnasium. But the project would have required too much lead time and Paramount decided against it.

Wait, you're a fanboy of a guy who plays a fanboy in a movie about fanboys of a movie?
I'm in way over my head.

Wait, HE'S the guy that thought it was a good idea to put spoilers for the upcoming episode in the opening credits? WTF was he thinking? My wife and I actually look away from the screen during BSG's title sequence because we don't want elements of the episode we're about to watch ruined for us.

In my opinion I like how they do that in the opening sequence of BSG. I don't think it ruins it, but rather gives a very brief glimpse of the episode to tease you. It's interesting how that last episode of BSG didn't do this. Perhaps they didn't want to give anything away, or because there wasn't any action in the episiode at all. Can't wait until tomorrow's episode.
Dammit, I've totally derailed the intended train of thought in this thread.
Can't wait until the Star Trek movie comes out too!

Nerd Alert! Since the movie can't go to Vulcan without a theatre there, the Vulcans are coming to Calgary!
Quote:
Paramount Pictures and the Alberta town of Vulcan have reached a logical compromise in the community’s bid to hold the new Star Trek movie premiere that has reportedly appeased Mr. Spock himself.
The studio is expected to announce today that a special screening of the film will be held in Calgary exclusively for the town of Vulcan, a farming community of less than 2,000 people that has spent a year and a half lobbying to get the premiere. “Vulcans” will be selected by lottery to attend the screening. Paramount will bus them to and from Calgary. The screening is tentatively scheduled for May 6.

That was very cool of Leonard Nimoy to speak out on behalf of Vulcan (Alberta).
Apparently he'd never heard of the town until a few weeks ago.
He made statements in the press that resulted in paramount offering to bus in Vulcan(Albertans) to Calgary to a premiere of the new film.
I would imagine this could possibly open the door to an appearance by Nimoy at their yearly festival.
Good stuff for the little Alberta town.
