Out West, the Giants take Game 1 over PG 3-2 at the Coliseum. Cougs goalie Real Cyr was, pardon the pun, the Real deal.. Game's first star and he really kept Prince George in it tonight. Game 2 tomorrow 7:00 PT on Sportsnet.

Spence tries to play the puck out of the crease and it takes a funny bounce off of Mercer. MH scores off of that play into the empty net to make it 4-1

Hitmen lose, 4-1 final for MH. Series shifts back to Calgary on Monday with MH leading 2-0. Sounds familiar...

Giants 10 minutes away from taking game 2, leading 5-1 over PG.

Unfortunately, we are playing perhaps the best team in Canada rather than the best team of the worst division in Canada this time around.

Tough hill to climb now. We really needed a split.

Dan Mercer just scored on his own net. 3-1 with just seconds left in the 2nd. Big 3rd period coming up.

From what I watched a good game by the Hitmen, much better than the games in MH.

Mercer's goal was hilarious. Nearly a Steve Smith, except that he simply lost the puck rather than passed it off of the goalie. Overall, great effort by the Hitmen tonight. They really frustrated the Tigers, as shown by Dorsett repeatedly spoiling his diaper in the penalty box and on his own bench at the end.

Hopefully Wednesday sees more of the same.

I haven't been following much of the WHL at all. I heard that there was turmoil in the Vancouver dressing room, and that things haven't been the same for them since they got rid of Slade. Any truth to that rumour?

Hopefully Calgary can pull out the comeback and beat Medicine Hat, would love to see a Vancouver-Calgary final, just to ensure the Hitmen will be making the trip to Vancouver.

In other news *cough*cough*
