Not calling for a fire sale (who would?).
But I hope the process has started on trading some of these vets and Conroy can start targeting what he wants in return.

We want to cheer more. Rhett is correct here.

You should probably stick to the point then instead of calling people brain damaged unless you want to get banned again. I was a big defender of you when you had your last account, especially your contributions outside of FOI. Don’t want to see you go down the same path again.
The thing about Chicago or San Jose when they drafted Bedard/Celebrini respectively: they still won games. It’s OK to enjoy and cheer for wins, whatever few come, just as it’s OK to be fine with losses knowing the potential prize at the end of that suffering.
Really no value or pride to be had in calling people that enjoy themselves brain damaged or unintelligent. Do better.

I changed my wording right away, sorry to offend.
I also don't have a second account, and I think you should stop obsessing over me having a 2nd account and private messaging me bugging me about it. I have never once private messaged someone and don't get offended by people who continuously act condescending to other posters like you do.
I have also seen a lot worse said on this site, but I really don't care to cry about every post.

You really are a stand up fella for limiting your crying to every game thread. And every post game thread. And every trade discussion thread. The walking definition of restraint.

This is what tanking is. No fan base has ever been treated to a "fun" tank. You always get a few years of miserable hockey. There is also no way they can trade all the vets in the next week to keep impatient posters happy. We have always said that rebuilds need patience, but so many here aren't able to comprehend that. We are less than a quarter of the way into the season.
I bet by the deadline we have 3 vets traded, the young guys are playing more, the team is still looking terrible and posters will have found something else to be miserable about surrounding the team.

They've traded those 3 vets in their minds month ago and will move on to other players who they believe should be shipped out.

FFS just stop the denigrating, sneering, pomposity.
Your logic is flawed as the Flames WILL win games this season, whether you want them to, or not. Winning is fun, good for morale, and important for development. You may, however, not want them to win “too much”…that’s different. Can still cheer for wins.
Landing last (even should they do that) is still only a 30% shot at a new guy. He may be a McKenna, he could be a Warrener (had to do that!). There are no guarantees.

I don't know if you're talking to me, but I am very happy about the loss actually. It will help us long term for sure. Only sad mainly about losing Parekh to injury.

Are you referring to one time I messaged you 4-5 months ago asking which poster you were after you were on here talking about forum stuff from 1.5-2 years before you joined and you said you were just an avid follower of the forum, ? lol. Speaking of obsession…
I’m just trying to help. I think I’ve brought it up twice. As someone who religiously followed the forum drama for years before they joined, I’m quite sure your bar for “obsession” is much, much higher than that, so that’s a silly game to play.
You might have seen worse and might take pride in not crying about it, but you do an awful lot of complaining when people disagree with you and have thrown an awful lot of broad insults around at people who enjoy something as simple as winning or find the team entertaining, just like the brain damaged one. So perhaps you could tone it down.

I said brain dead, not brain damaged. Brain dead just means mindless or reqiires no thought, but either way I changed it within a minute.
I'm really not a bad guy like a lot of people think on this site, I just overreact and post without thinking very often.

Good grief.
Are fans allowed to have any fun at all?

It is strange that team tank is a thing, this team has been trying to tank for 18 months. It is just now being successful at it.
You are correct though, posters will have something else to complain about then. That is why I like the proposed fire sale of assets that those posters want, it allows them to complain about the return from the fire sale next year.

It will be that three isn't enough and that the rest are blocking players from the Wranglers.

In the forward ranks the Flames only have Keirns and Strongrem who are both young enough and good enough and it actually makes sense to have them in the NHL rather than the AHL to bring up this year. Makes almost no sense to bring up Suniev or Basha. I would suggest Gridin could actually use a full year being the man in the AHL rather than play in the NHL.

I actually think Gridin is a guy who could move up and down this season. He certainly didn't play a shy game off the bat. He started to fade as a player before being sent down but he's a guy who is waiver exempt, and could benefit from both lighting up in the AHL for confidence and learning the difference between that and what it takes to do the same in the NHL.

Ya Gridin can clearly play at the NHL level. I think it is probably detrimental to his long term development though. Playing in the AHL and pitting 20+ goals and 60+ points in his 19 year old season is probably better for him.
