Technically, you 40 year old got a cup where you were just old enough to form lasting memories. I'm turning 36 on the 16th this month . I was technically alive but was like a month and 9 days old. I want a cup I can even remember or existed.

I’m a ‘90. Once in my lifetime and I die happy. Just once

Crazy that I was a teenager when the Flames won the cup and I may never see another Flames Stanley Cup in my lifetime.

As David Carle always said, Carter is ummmmm different. First player in DU history to graduate with a pre-med molecular biology degree. Four time distinguished scholar and academic all-conference winner. He never stops working it seems. People were commenting on his weight. He weighed in last week at 198 at the end of the season. His body is his own science experiment. Its one of the reasons the Flames like him, because of how intense he is about every facet of performance that can be controlled, he'll do whatever he can to perfect it. Doesn't mean he'll make it but he'll damn well do everything in his power to get there.

There. That braggy enough for ya?!!!!

Holy. ####!

Thats pretty damned impressive. Well...you've got plenty of reasons be proud.

But I'm telling you right now, if he uses his molecular biology degree to clone his own super-taco for nefarious purposes to attempt to take over the world...a whole lot of fans are going to be really upset!

And the Mexican Flames fans might be downright inconsolable about a molecularly designed super-taco.

'77 here, still lived in Calgary at 12 years old when they won. Dad left two beers in the fridge and said my friend and I could drink them, shake them up and celebrate, whatever we wanted to do if they won.

We probably wore 3/4 of our first ever beers and drank a 1/4.

I moved here in '93 so seeing the '04 run and how a lot of the country got behind the Flames was cool!

I could never get behind most Canadian teams' run....maybe Ottawa, possibly Montreal or Winnipeg, but definitely not Edmonton, Vancouver or Toronto, but it was cool to see when it was the Flames from out here.

On topic, this kid seems impressive, congrats on the signing and congrats to Tacoman!

That’s so cool. Just reading “his body is his own science experiment” reminds me of guys like Bryson DeChambeau. I have such a high degree of admiration for athletes that take a really involved, scientific approach to their training and performance, I can’t help but root for them.

Count me as another instant fan.

When he plays his first game at the Dome the entire crowd should start a chant.

"Taco! Taco! Taco!"

And then, when the highlights go onto Sportscentre the anchors will bewilderingly look to each other and ask...

"Why were 20,000 people chanting for tacos at a hockey game in Calgary?"

And we on CP shall rejoice.
