His stats are pretty pedestrian when he plays away from MacKinnon. Hard to say. I do think Hughes is much better these days.

And it's obvious watching them. It used to be like they had two Mackinnons. Every shift was like "holy ####". He's still a great player of course, but when they won the cup he was on another level entirely. He's more complementary and not as dominating.
