What I want to see is they both answer the code with each other!

Take it like adults, you losers.
Publicly suggesting the league is wrong, is always a smart play.

10 seconds left, why wouldn't you have a player simply tackle McDavid?
Exactly because of the only outcomes are as you state above.

Yes, this happens almost every game when a team that's behind by one goal has possession in the offensive zone. Players will hook, trip, slash, and hold, because if a penalty is called, there is little time for the opponent to take advantage of it. This happens to all players who are put on the ice with seconds remaining to try to even up the score. That doesn't entitle them to make dangerous plays that risk injuring another player. If anything, violent, dangerous actions such as McDavid's that occur in the dying seconds of a game that is essentially out of reach should be punished more harshly, because the offender is also making decisions based on the perceived minimal consequences of taking such actions (who cares if they get a game misconduct with 10 seconds left?).

Anyone thinking of the Streisand Effect?
McDavid becomes even more of a target.

I have to agree with TSN. He's never had any appeal to me either. Too bad SportsNet can't say the same.

It's so hilarious to me that McDavid was "abused" so badly by one of the smallest players in the entire league. The fact that he was able to "manhandle" McDavid so badly is a real black mark on Connor's fitness and ability to battle through a check. Hilarious that nobody was talking about how easily Garland completely neutralized McDavid despite having a severe deficiency in height and weight.
"Back to the gym!" as Gio used to say.

That would be an awesome troll job if they did. Please Canucks, don't pick today to be classy.

McDavid's personality would line up more with the "Anne Murray Effect".

Flames need to issue a statement...
The Calgary Flames organization wish to take this opportunity to say "HA HA STUPID OILERS," and re-affirm the core principle of "E=NG."

Seriously, they should be trolling this reaction all over social media. It's the perfect distraction to their ridiculous sideshow that their fans and media would eat up.

You're missing the point. McDavid's precious hand was abused by being viciously punched by Garland's head.

McDavid chose not to appeal it. That makes complaints from the Oilers look pretty... not good.
