Piastri finished p9. Salvaged a couple of points. Mercs look like they have a nice driver pairing that can compete for constructors titles.

Lawson may not make it more than three races in the Red Bull. That was pretty dire.
Red Bull needs to be ruthless…they can’t have another season with only Verstappen getting points.

They will get a ton of wind tunnel time next year if they keep Lawson

I agree if Lawson keeps struggling you'll see Tsunoda in that car way faster than they ditched Perez. But he had never raced that track, it was raining, he missed FP3, and they changed the wing on his car before the race so that was new as well. That's a lot for a rookie to deal with.
I agree he'll need to start scoring to keep the seat, but he probably gets a pass this weekend.
They should have ditched Perez when Saintz came available last year.

That was a really good last 20 laps.
Makes me wonder how things would have turned out if Alonso hadn’t crashed. It really affected the pit strategies with the rain coming a few laps after.

I wonder how many races before Hamilton publicly calls out Ferarri's pit strategy for costing him.

Fairly or unfairly, Lawson will be compared to Antonelli and the differences were stark.
Ollie Bearman was having an even worse weekend than Lawson and has even less driving experience but was keeping pace with Lawson in what looks to be a pretty bad Haas.
Ultimately it was a really fun start to the season with my favourite type of weather conditions - on and off rain.

Thats why I've never liked Hamilton. He is F1's Gretzky/McDavid.

Great race, but just about the worst possible outcome from a compelling championship standpoint. Unless Norris has a DNF very soon, McLaren will have no reason to not back him fully.
Max will still be able to mix things up, but Norris made 20+ points on each of his other most likely WDC rivals

I think Max still has a chance in P2. And Lando has a penchant for making some bad mistakes so fingers crossed we've got at least a 3 way fight with Oscar, Lando, and Mad Max.
That race was carnage. Kinda disappointed in how many guys binned it on SC/Warmup laps. Sounded like it was rough gear shifts or bad engine mapping...but cmon...best in the world putting in the wall Sainz especially must be pissed to see how fast that Williams is and Albon in P5.

I didn't- there are a number of weeks this summer I will not have the ability to make picks. Plus last year I spent way too much time on it, so I'm not entering at all. Will still participate in the discussion when I catch a race.
